Deus Ex Online help

I need help again with Deus Ex. This time, it's about the online.

Whenever I try to join a game, it immediately goes back to the main menu. It shows the map for one split second and then that's it. Does anyone know what could be wrong?

You might need to have the latest version, do you have game of the year edition? Try using google.com and type your question/error.

GOTY is just the version I have. I will try the google thing, but please help me out, not trying to be a jerk or anything.

Depends did you tried with a couple of servers ?
Sometimes that's the problem here.

I tried several different servers...nope, it still wouldn't do it. Just restarts the game and goes back to the intro.

Dunno what to do. :/

Did you tried a patch, I know it could be useless, but nothing forbids a try, also set up you connection speed through the game.

Nothing except Steam. If you can't install mods, does that mean you can't install patches, either?

Another DX-Steam victim...
All servers in DX mult need a patch DXMTL installed. Try http://www.dxalpha.com/downloads and any questions about multiplayer here http://www.dxalpha.com/forum
But... I'm not sure you can install anything on steam version of DX. Sory. Recommend you another distributive.
