To really get an accurate overview of what the most desired things are, you'd have to start the list from when the full game was released: from post # 267 on page 11 and onward.
Yeah, I have t agree with you. unfortunately a lot of people have abandoned the game and the forum.

Okay, one problem I have is that I am a Chiropractor and a writer in the process of trying to get several of my novels published. Plus gaming here and there and moderating a whole bunch of forums on one of the busiest tech/gaming sites around leaves me with very little spare time. It is taking an insane amount of time to compile this info in MSWord and I am only up to like page 15!

So the only way I can do this is to get 5 volunteers to help me with this thread. One person can sift through pages 21 through 30, another through pages 31 through 40, and so on up until page 70. I will handle everything from the beginning of the thread through page 20 and everything from page 71 through the last page of the thread. What each of the volunteers will do is compile EVERY complaint on their assigned pages and PM them to me. This will also make the list go a helluva lot quicker, to be honest.

I will sort through all the final material and create an encyclopedic volume for Driber.

Now remember that if you volunteer to help, we are NOT to inject our own opinions into this, In other words, I read some things that I didn't agree were real problems, for example, but I am, going to report them anyway. This is a list of reported problems and issues. We are not to edit it based on disagreeing with the issues presented.

this seems strange as up until now the developers have strongly supported the modding community...
maybe they did it by accident

Has nothing to do with supporting or not, the game has been updated with fixes, this cause changes in memory locations, remember bolopatch works by directly accessing the memory, so if any official updates happen then the memory address is likely to be different.

Default Patch made my game worse

IDK if anyone else has posted this, I did a search and couldn't find anything on it. But I am playing on the Xbox 360 and have noticed the civilians disappearing every time I play. Sometimes they come back, but more recently they haven't. If I shut off the console and turn it back on, they are back, but eventually disappear again. I thought that the patch was supposed to fix this. I never had this problem before the patch, and now I have it every time I play! Anyone else having this problem?

(Also these weird things keep happening like the enemies bodies go flying when I shoot them (Not with the APG), or when they have died they are repelled away from me like magnets pushing away from each other, its sooo weird!)

I played last night with the patch for the first time and yes I too got the disappearing civi issue which I had never gotten before. They came back after I completed a communication outpost.

I also had a radar arrow on for a vehicle part from like a mile away and it stayed on - even the little black and white icon that appears when you are really close was there. I finally worked my way over there and picked it up and it went away.

Strange. I sure hope the patch didn't make things worse and these are coincidences. I never had an issue with the game before.

after the patch update I knew the city would be a good place to test, I stood on a roof corner looking down at a road junction, guess what?, yeah you guessed it, I was watching civs and vehicals vanish!

Blade, I am pretty sure there's a fix for this issue, but I don't know what it is since I never had the problem. Sit tight and several people here will definitely help you out!

I have been hearing a lot of players stating how the patch made the game worst instead of fixing the issues...I havent downloaded the patch yet because my 360 died before the patch released....Ill be getting it back up and running this weekend and im now hesitant to even downloading the patch..

is it worth the download? should i simply avoid the patch or should I download it when my console gets back? suggestions welcome. what should I do?

one thing that i noticed right at the beginning is the mouse movement. imo theres way too much lag between moving a mouse and the action in game. and it's somehow too smooth. you know like falling feather - while moving down it goes smoothly from one side to another. the aim should be sharp, instantanious. and it really bugged me at the first. it help to put the graphix on lowest possible. i kow that my rig isn't the best but it runs gta iv fine on medium settings. and there isn't that smooth aim at all.

So, the other day I decided to start playing JC2 again.

I was starting to have some fun with it and was even considering purchasing some DLC.

Then I started to get hit with little glitches that had never happened to me before the new patch. Things would spaz as I grappled them (including Rico), sometimes killing me in the process, other little bugs that aren't exactly game breaking, but annoying as heck, I even experienced the civilians disappearing. The only major bug that I experienced while playing it before the patch was not being able to get 100% on some areas, and not being able to get 100% completion for the whole game. That wasn't much of a concern to me since I never play to beat every inch of a game, I just like having my own fun, but now things are worse than before and I'm having a difficult time having fun for long periods of time like I used to

Now I don't think I'll be wasting my money on the DLC and am more frustrated now than I was before about them taking so long to release the patch.

If Avalanche's next game is built on Avalanche Engine 2.0, I'll probably buy it because I love the engine, but I have very little respect for the company now...

Question: Is this a forced update? I ask because I have not signed into PSN with the PS3 tha has JC2 on it, and I am wondering if I sign in while NOT playing JC2, will I still be automatically updated in JC2, OR do I actually have to boot up the game while my PS3 is signed into PSN?

Big difference between that and what you just posted..

How gracious of him to allow you to do the jobs the devs should be doing.
Anyone else who sees "I myself think the current patch will be the only one and if I were in your shoes, I'd accept this and move on." coming from a mod on the official forum is going to come to the same conclusion. The game is dying and still broken, hey Im not saying its not fun,its a blast but the experience is incomplete and there is no excuse for it.

6047, you're preaching to the choir here, and I asolutely agree with a lot of what you said, but there are several reasons why this might be a good idea and worth doing. The first is that if we, as a community have a comprehensive list of all the flaws and faults in the game, and it is all delineated in one long encyclopedic post, maybe, just maybe, the devs will use this information for a future JC game. The fact is that to me JC2 is a mystery wrapped in a riddle. it is an overall excelent game, and what we are all complaining about is that it could have been an absolute classic, and hell, had the patch been a great deal more comrehensive and a real fix for a lot of our issues, it would have actually evolved from being a great game to being the aforementioned classic to rival the likes of GTA III.

The second reason is that, while Driber is probably right that the devs are done with this game, they are human beings. They can decide to change their mind if they like, perhaps having, as their impetus, a tangible list of what the community at large thinks is wrong with the game.

Yes, you are right. The chance of at least the latter possibility certainly seems steeped in whimsical and irrational hopes on our part, but really the game is that goosd and with that much potential that I am willing to put forth what will most likely be a waste of time on the slim chance that the devs might just change their minds and revisit this game to make their huge customer base happy.
