yeah.. the record basejump (so far, until i beat it ) is 1500m...

I think most've us have seen that video (if not hundreds of times lol)
But yah they really want to you to fall as far as you can.

The Panau Island reporters also mentioned how extremely high the stage can go

or, you can try to lift a crane with a helicopter and place it on top of a mountain. that will give you about 150m extra :')

hmm, ill try and stack 3 vertical 747s on the highest point in the game, then ill base jump, get the record, put it on youtube with the ps3 function, then ill go back up, put c4 on the bottom plane, and ill use the stunt position on the top plane while its vertical, blow up the bottom plane, and ill use the plane im on as a surfboard to get down the mountain :rofl:

i think the bar is about achevments like in gears of war when it would show how close to an achement you were. in the video he basejumps 592 meters and there is an achevment for basejumping 1000 meters and the bar is around half full

another thing about freefalling.

1. how far can you fall without dying?

2. if you somehow can stand on top of a plane without being in stunt position and jump off does it count as a base jump?

Hmm.. Not that we know of..

oh yeah just so you know, the record of 1500m was for Basejumping not for freefalling

Basejumping is the same except you jump off a tall building or natural occurence (Cliffs, mountains etc.) that are 'connected' to the earth, where as freefalling can be from anywhere such as a helicopter or plane.

also i think for it to count it has to be non stop falling so no parachutes.

just saying to Jeffkeuh so nobody else gets confused.

i read somewhere on the forum the total height you can fly is about 15000 feet
