VIKTORIA: ERROR [Exception 0xC0000005: Access Violation]

I recently downloaded to play DE:IW from GameFly and can't even get it to load it just goes to black screen and stays and when I ALT Tab to get out there's a VIKTORIA: ERROR [Exception 0xC0000005: Access Violation] message. I tried updating my video card driver and looked for any newer ones for my processor. No change. I'm running:
AMD Athlon 64 Processor 3200+ 2GHz
2 GB RAM
Nvidia GeForce 6600 GT 128 bit
24 bit Sound Blaster

I just downloaded the game from gamefly and have the Exact same error. The game only opens up to a black screen and when i minimize that same error report pops up. Im on windows 7... WHAT TO DO!!!??

The thread at http://forums.eidosgames.com/showthread.php?t=71759 indicates that this is a video card issue.
