I am also a huge fan of Commandos who occasionally rigioco I also would like a new Commandos, I beg you! (but like the first, not as Strike Force)
Maybe with missions set in Italy, the Balkans, etc. ..

I would also like to see a new Commandos game or if not a release of modding tools. Seeing what people managed to do with Strike in Narrow Path without official tools, I can only imagine what people would do with official tools.

Still I think the chances of seeing a new Commandos game as we know (and love) are pretty slim. After Commandos 2 at least 2 key people behind Commandos moved to form their own studio. Aside from that after Pyro's release of Planet 51 they seem to have moved to the social game market instead of console/pc games. But hey who knows maybe they'll surprise us one day. If I look at our site the tools to play BEL and BTCOD on Windows XP and newer are the most popular.

And while I think the chance for a new Commandos game are slim, that's not an official statement, I don't work for Square or Pyro. It's based on info gathered from linkedin profiles, which revealed other than what some people from Pyro are doing also two canceled projects.

basically there are two directions commandos fans could take:
1. continuing on the "narrow path" and modding the games to the limit.
2. picking a suitable 3rd party game, and modding it to get a commandos-like game. i can think about Helldorado and the Men of War series.

It would also need to figure out who owns the rights to the Commandos series (Eidos and Pyro Studios?).

Given the many initiatives promoted at Kickstarter would be nice if some other developer proposed the creation of a "follow the spiritual" now that a game like this hardly make it any more. : (

@PCMaster: I think we all agree, that the real spirit behind the Commandos-series came from Gonzo Suarez and his team, and considering that they are not part of Pyro anymore, it doesn't really matter who owns the rights, I'm afraid...

They never made a 'Commandos 4' ! LMAO ! The 'Commandos' series is great and all but there really is no original plot. They just sold it as 'war memo'. 'Commandos 2' is just taken from war movies. LMAO ! It's just another abandoned series. If there were a new 'Commandos', you probably wouldn't even like it. I say just stroke your 'Commandos 1-3' and be thankful for what you got. It's like a war syndrome, soldiers kill all day and then go back home and get bored.

Here'd be the solution .... To make 'Commandos Zero' before 'Commandos'. Then they could remake it like 'Resident Evil' did because the playstation version was just ignorant. Yes. Save 'Commandos', it's drowning!

You have to expect a possible ban though in Germany and or Japan. Like Germany banned 'Condemned 2 - Bloodshot' due to violence against crackheads with toilet seats, Japan banned 'Call of Duty - World at War' for abusive violence against Japanese. LoL.

They are out now with a complete pack of all 'Commandos' as 5 games game pack. LoL. For like 15.00 US. That's not a good sign. Guess that's as close to 'Commandos 5' as it'll be.

Hmm, there is a Commandos Complete Collection for a long time that contains all the five Commandos games, if you don't know, and I assume that you have saw exactly it, so that's nothing new and doesn't have nothing with Commandos 5.

I was just testing out a new computer and installed 'Commandos -Strike Force'. I was thinking that 'CSF' was released in 2006 for Xbox and PS2! I was thinking that may be they just can't UP this series to the new level of Xbox 360 and PS3.
