My father calls me sometimes "Lara", but I thought it's just because I have my hair often braided. No one else compared me to Lara till now. But it could be fun to be Lara for one day. But I'm afraid that the fans have high expectations, so a Lara cosplayer has to be really perfect in the necessary things.

Cosplaying is first and foremost about you having fun doing so. Forget about what the "TR community might say". Not everyone can be Jen Croft and if all other cosplayers would hold back just because there are "better" ones out there, there wouldn't be much cosplaying going on

You could even just post your cosplay pics on this forum only. You may have noticed by now that we are a friendly bunch; you don't have to fear about being ripped apart here!

Agreed! It's an very rewarding hobby and just awesome to get in that Lara Croft spirit ^^
I myself am a bit intimidated by Jenn and Tany Croft, but the best thing to do with it, is to turn it around; use it as inspiration

Thanks for the encouragement! I think Hiropons and Madenices TR cosplays are great.
Maybe I will try a Lara cosplay next spring. (I hope I will have every part of the Lara outfit by then.) One of my friends loves photography, it would be an interesting "project" for him to take good pictures from me, he would enjoy the challenge.

thanks^^ next week I also finally get the chance to take a little "shoot" in my costume out in the woods although it's freezing and there probably will be snow.. uhm..yes^^

ahh can't wait to see more cosplay experiences And with someone who knows a bit about photography it will look even more awesome i bet

okay, I know this competition ended long ago but still i had to take Lara with my on vacation and had to bring her on this ship
anyone remembering it? there was a tomb raider event on it in june.... and this ship is huge! I even got lost in the engine room because there are sooo many stairs and doors and rooms and I don't know what all!

so, long blah blah... here are some photos^^

I think I will try the upcoming Lara because I love bathing in the mud. XD
I'm not good at posing, so it will be easier for me to represent Lara during her fight with nature and the unknown. I think this instinct fight of her is interesting, and I can sympathize with her fragile self. (I love all Laras though)

But have you seen those photos of the girls at Paris Games Week?? :O This makes me feel soooo noobish! They were awesome!
