Default No First Person View: WHY?

Pretty much every game that has featured both first and third person have been excellent highly polished and praised games; Outcast, the Metal Gear Solid series, Jedi Knight, HITMAN, etc.

HITMAN has always been mainly a 3rd person game, which is fine, but it was always very convenient to be able to use first person which the devs gave to us by choice.

It's been a tradition since Hitman 2, so I have to ask why you've changed it.
Can you guys at least provide the option to PC users? Really isn't that hard. Not looking for a level of first person perspective on par with the average FPS out there, just a decent first person camera. Would probably take a week worth of development to get a decent first person camera up and running, another week to iron it out and make it better.

i agreee... first person can be very useful at certain points in the game... also it adds a little dash of realism...

i think the problem with it in Absolution is probably due to the new shooting mods :/

How do you know there wont be a 1st person mode? If that is the case I will be quite dissapointed, I primarily used 1st person in all but the first hitman.

It is in the FAQ: http://forums.eidosgames.com/showthread.php?t=124605

Q: Will first person viewpoint return in Absolution?
A: No. Absolution will only feature the third person perspective.

There is not very convenient 1st person view. There are only cheap and ugly ways to create precision mode. 1st person view is one of them. Even precision mode in that absolution looks rude, static and ugly. They have created only one good, dynamic and nice precision view for Freedom Fighters in game controller mode.

I like to control my camera with a mouse and circle around 47 to get a quick view of whats taking place around me, I did however use the first person camera several times to try something different.

if they put in a first person camera they should also give pc users the ability to change the FOV in first person and in 3rd person.

Just put in scopes and I'll be happy, I personally prefer third person for this game, but when using a decent gun with a scope attached at least let me look down it for more precision and realism, thanks.

Saying that, it wouldn't harm to put a first person option (I think) to people who wanted it.
