Hitman Blood Money save proplem

Dear forum i have hitman blood money on my macbook pro and when i try to save my game it says its saved but when i go back on to the game menu it makes me start a new game please help im really frustrated and want to play the game properly soooooo bad can you please find a solution asap

The save is not permanent, meaning you must complete a mission, before you can save your progress permanently. See the in-mission save as a checkpoint, from which you can restart after you died or your mission went "wrong". So, if you leave the mission prematurely, you'll lose your saves for that particular mission.
