Default New Tomb Raider setting?

On G4TV's X-Play, Karl Stewart said that this takes place near the east coast of France, but I see asian buildings, also Lara has a map of Japan, how is it near France?

I'd say it was just a stumble of words. It is set in Japan.

Yeah Karl tweeted a couple of hours later that it was a mistake and he meant Japan. He's getting a lot of stick on the TRF for that even though it was a mistake.

That said I LOVE the idea of it being set in France (or partly set). Two TR games have been partly set in France before and I loved both of them, especially the Parisian Ghetto in AoD and the Louvre. Like in a really big catacomb or something.

This is what his tweet actually said.

Karl Stewart ‏@CrystalDKarl
Just so were all on the same page, with regards to the @g4tv questions, I said France by mistake!! It's still Japan. http://www.g4tv.com/thefeed/blog/p … .

So he meant JAPAN.

That's what I said isn't it?

EDIT: Oops. Typo. When I said France, obviously I mean Japan as you can see from the context.

That is what threw me off, those are french so it didn't seem like a typo. :P
Thanks or sharing the info on the tweet though, I never would have know about it without you.

Lady Irony strikes again

I didn't even notice you typed, "France", though. My brain must've auto-corrected it due to the context, hehe.
