I've been playing the Hitman series for years. It's not that serious to me about this new voice actor. Do I support the change? No. I will accept it though.

The gameplay is amazing so far along with what little bit of the story they've shown. I'm just going to wait and see what the game offers once it comes out. I already have the Professional Edition reserved. I don't think it helps the devs with all of the negative criticism this game has been getting.

You know, it would be one thing if you tried to make an argument that the new voice actor is similar to the old one, or that he's not bad or etc., but you're just plain *sskissing.

We're the ones paying for their game, and from the looks of it it's going to sell so IO doesnt deserve alot of sympathy from the old fans of the series.

I don't get why IOI are making absolution so American. I seen a picture of 47 posing in front of the American flag, they've offered suits and guns as pre order incentives in guess where. ...yeah America. They held a competition only open to Americans,the game takes place in the USA, and now they've replaced Bateson with an American voice actor, the least they could've done was got someone with the same accent.

He sucks, majorly. Doesn't fit the character at all, I don't like how they've treated the original VA'S, I don't like that there still hasn't been an explanation as to why, I don't like why they've suddenly made 47 an American tough guy, and especially don't like how the replacement hasn't been announced yet.

David Bateson is Danish, actually. Having an actor with a British accent wouldn't make more sense then having an American one. Personally, I think the new voice actor is promising although I'd like to hear more from him. I won't miss Bateson at all. I think he's highly overrated by the "hardcore fans".

He's most definetly not overrated, don't see why every video game character ( especially an international one ) has to be a generic American to be appealing. It gets boring and to be honest a Jamaican 47 would sound better than the new 47. I hope he doesn't say much or I'll be muting him with the subtitles on. Although I don't agree with the way Vivian was treated either at least they got someone with the same accent as far as I can tell.

I didn't say he was overrated by everyone, just a small part of the Hitman fans who have made an emotional bond with him and 47. I just don't think he's the be all end all of VG voice acting. I've been a Hitman fan since day one and I didn't know who David Bateson was until they let him go and the hit the fan. For me, he's not what makes or brakes a good Hitman game.

I agree with this. Although I'll miss Bateson as 47, he is somewhat overrated and I'm willing to give the new VA a chance, simply because we haven't heard more than three sentences from the guy, so I think he still deserves a chance to play the part. However, I still must wonder if IO is playing a game with us. I still think this is a pretty drastic change between voice actors, and I've been wondering if they've been covering up 47's real voice just to keep his identity a secret for their next video revealing the voice behind the assassin.

There is nothing promising in his face. Meanwhile, if they create the same game with the same boring gameplay over and over again, declare in 90% of their interviews that this game mainly for "hardcores", I don't see logic to hire a sectarian.
