Default The Missing Link PS3 -- cannot start

Dear Eidos.

This is about the Missing Link DLC on PS3 issue of not displaying the new menu item ("downloadable content") in the main menu after installation.

The problem seems to be region related, as I have read many users reported online.

Here are my details: I have an Australian account and registered credit card, I currently live in Canada and I bought the physical PS3 game here (so US version most likely). I just bought the DLC online, install went ok but the option to start ("downloadable content") is nowhere to be found. I even deleted all my Deus Ex related files (game data + save data), reinstalled the game, installed the 1.01 patch, then the DLC, still nothing. (my PS3 has the latest sony firmware as well)

Now we all absolutely love this game. It is undoubtedly a work of art. It is worth absolutely every single penny, I personally have purchased the Augmented Edition and the Collector's Edition Game Guide. I am a big fan.

After hours of frustration trying to make it work, I have searched online only to find no solution and quite a few console users experiencing the same issue (steam version seems to work?). Purchasing a new region version of the game is out of the question. We paid fair and square for the game and DLC because we all appreciate and love your work, we truly do. Having that money, energy and time wasted away because of some game / account region bug is not fair.

If it's just me being goofy and not doing this right, I apologize in advance. However, installing PS3 games and DLCs is pretty much straight forward and I've read about many console users reporting the same issue, which means it's not just me having a senior moment.

Please help us fix this DLC problem.

Cheers,
pixelprime

Damn. I hope someone can help you mate. You said your from Australia I'm American but i said mate to show love. But seriously, when you have multiple regions and moved to a different country problems always arise when using PSN.

So.. I knew there are others having this issue. Same issue here. What is disappointing more is I kept getting ping ponged back and forth from support agents of both PSN and Square Enix. Both places are saying it is the other's hardware/network issue. Neither are able to fix it or yet to come up with a solution. But given credits, yes, this game is phenomenal. I am a big fan of GTA and have all and waiting for GTA5. I have also become a bigger fan of Deus Ex. Not the end of the world with this add-on issue and I am hoping an ultimate edition will be out for PS3 soon as it has for Mac. This ultimate edition suppose to have all the add-ons and the Missing Link game. Heck, I am more waiting on Deus Ex 4 and hoping it will an expansion and continuation of human revolution with longer game play, more environment, missions, options and features. Yeah, the Deus Ex team had done a remarkable job with this Deus Ex game. Big Kudos!
