Question Deus Ex: HR not starting on steam

I bought deus ex HR a month ago, but each time I try to run it on steam, the loading message(preparing to launch Deus Ex Human Revolution) appears, but then dissapears and nothing happens. If I try again it says that the game is already running, but it cannot switch to it, and that this might be caused by the game running for another user. I've checked, and the game is not running on any users. Please help.

I got the same thing, I got it working by downloading an older versions exe file of the net and replacing the one steam downloads, but then I ran ballsfirst into the left option conversation crash bug wich is fixed for some by... letting steam verify your files, wich downloads the exe file wich does not work for me...
