Hi,

Which nVidia driver version do you have installed?

The latest one which I think it is 301.42.
Not a beta driver.
The stutter is very brief but really annoying when I am trying to shoot at something.

Set SSAO to normal instead of high, looks not much worse, but might help.
For me at least SSAO on high produces some stutter when moving around in some scenes, while SSAO on normal is smooth.
I'm on a GTX460, though, so your GPU is a bit better.

Thanks for the tip but it didn't help.
I also tried it with DX 9 but nothing changed!

Hi, idd like to suggest ppl who are suffering from stuttering/frameskipping issues to try the fix discribed here.

You just have to use DX11 mode (VSync enabled) and edit the registry. In the HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Eidos\Deus Ex: HR folder, set D3D11_CREATE_DEVICE_PREVENT_INTERNAL_THREADING_OPTIMIZATIONS to 1. Done.
I have tried a gazillion psuedo fixes but only this one worked, and it would be nice to see if it helps others aswell.

I made this video to show you exactly what happens.
Notice at 0:25 when I turn the camera.
I doesn't happen again until I enter a new area.
Don't know if this is the game trying to load some objects or NPCs but it is very annoying and I dont remember that happening on my older PC.
Other frame rate drops are caused by FRAPS. Ingame, I get about 60 fps with V-Sync on.

So it's just the few seconds of stuttering when entering a new area that are bothering you?
In that case I had missunderstood you, I thought it's stuttering the entire time.

Just try to ignore it then, it's probably just due to a few things being loaded in the backround and happens for most people, I guess. It definitely happens for me from time to time, but as I said, it's over soon, so why bother?

Well the first time I installed the game and played it the game had this stutter as well as worse ones. I verified the cache , the other stuttering dissapeared , but this one isn't fixed. This may look irrelevant but when you try to shoot at something and that happens , well , it is not that great.

Well, it should be over in a matter of a few seconds after loading the area, so all you have to do is wait it out before staring to shoot stuff. I never encountered a situation in the game where this really was a problem.

If the stutter persists reasonably longer, though, there's some other problem behind it, I guess.

Things got worse now that I am in the city.
I can't move my camera without having any lag whatsoever.
Something is wrong here!

I also get terrible stuttering especially in city areas. I've never been able to figure out why.

Really, this is UNPLAYABLE! The only support I got from Eidos was just about which driver my gfx has.
Nothing else. There is no way I can refund the game so expect Nixxes to help me out. I gave my money, I supported you, now it's your turn!

I bought the missing link and I tried to see if there are any problems.
I started it and the sound was glitched like it was stuck or something. I couldnt hear the conversation at the beginning but when I got up from the chair, there was no lag. I left the game, came back , the sound was fixed but the lag was back. Anyways I made another video to show you the lag. 0:06 is the first one.

Did you check any of the solution posted in the big lag/stuttering topic in this forum?
My problems have been solved (pre-patch, latest patch fixed the issue without workarounds) by using NvidiaInspector as a frame-rate limiter. There are other solutions there, not everything works the same for every user.
