OK, I was just wondering what "secret" weapons y'all have found and where?
So far all I've found is:
I understand there is also a:
I'd appreciate any further info about these or any other "Secret Weapons". Please be sure to use the "spoiler" button (next to Quote) when posting your spoilers.

Hmmm, I saw the WM SMG in the DXTools resources. I've been looking high and low for it. I'm on my 2nd trip through the game and just left Trier for the remodeled Templar temple. I'll be heading to Cairo again soon. Where in Cairo is it?

The WM SubMG is on the lower levels of Cairo. In the long tunnel that leads to the nanomachine lab theres a power box you can hack. Then once the powers off you can go through the little hole in the wall to the left. Follow that hallway and you'll enter a small storage room and find the gun.

Sadly the secret weapons use the exact same models as normal weapons.

The Assassin's Blade (or Toxic Blade, forget which right now) is under the bed pillow in the assassin's room of the first floor of the Emerald.

I actually found all but one of these my first time through the game but didn't realize it. I never paid any attention to their names, I just noticed they looked the same as what I already had and blew them off. Pays to "pay" attention, huh.
Well so far we have 7 secret weapons. Thanks for the additional details on their whereabouts, btw. I'm curious just how many there are. I'd love to find a modified sniper rifle or mag rail. Haven't found any secret versions of them yet. The grenade launcher is rather wimpy in it's stock form as well, but since you don't get it untill near the end of the game, I doubt there's a special version of it. I'll have to keep my eyes open this time through.

According to this thread the official guide only lists 6 "unique weapons" and we've covered them all here. The only one not listed was the "skull gun" supposedly in UNATCO. I can't comment because I picked up that tidbit from another forum, and it gave no further details.
For a full list of details on each weapon, check out the link above. I believe the second or third page contains all the info the "guide" had on each weapon. Thanks all who contributed to this thread, wish there were more to cover. |

the 'skul gun' was for gunther herrman in DX1 i beleive. if it exists. it might be an easter egg someone slipped in, would be rather humorous.
In an email in the first game Gunther was complaining to his boss that he could not get his gun out fast enough when thugs attacked him and requested a new mechanical augmentation, a skull gun

There is no skull gun, but there is a humorous little datacude in the last level regarding it. I have found all 6 weapons, they are the Toxin Blade, the Red Greasel Hunter, the Hellfire Boltcaster, the Widowmaker SMG, the Assasin Pistol, and the Dragon's Tooth Sword. All there locations are in another thread i made.

This Hellfire boltcaster... I read it does fire damage. I guess that means it's lethal right? I'm going totally no-killing so that would be a bummer.

i'm not sure but maybe it would be handy when you ran into a red greasel? maybe the red light has some sort of effect on them, like maybe it thinks your one of them, or confuses it or something... ?

The Toxin blade has to be the best secret weapon. I can't tell you how many times it helped me dispatch an enemy quickly and easily.

That Dragon's Tooth Sword is extremely powerful. It takes out everything in one blow - so watch out for things that blow up.

People, if you want to find out exactly where the secret weapons are, then go to www.gamefaqs.com and search for Deus Ex:IW

Why? I don't know, I just know it does. I am guessing the assasin pistol does the same, however I have not bothered to pick it up, I have seen it. The Red Greasel pistol does fire faster than the normal pistol. |
