Default Spinning rooms in XP solved

(discovered by Raider X)

Go down to your start menu go to settings, control panel, system. This will take you to system properties.

Open your advanced tab then under performance click on your settings.This will take you to performance options.

Click on the advanced tab. Once you are in there under processor scheduling change the setting from Programs to Background Services.

This will lower the amount of processer that is used for your programs. No more spinning!!!

It stops the spinning, but it still spins just as fast as it ever did.

wont even work for me on winME,but I already tried cutting down serval features of my PC via Drivers,using older Drivers and diverse Slow-Down Programms,nothing really worked expect the programms which made the whole PC to slow and didnt do a that good result,plus,they keep on crashing all the time.
Another good way of getting lost of that spammy spinning is to build a big level and do the fine touches at the end ,cause the bigger the level is,the less the winroomedit.exe will keep on spinning

Well yeah big levels slow down, but if you get TO big, suddenly your work will dissapear and you get your desktop back (or in my case, the other 25 windows I have opened )

Try building a level while playing a DVD. That should slow it down.

Oh yeah,the back to desktop problem know that too good, but mostly it happens when going into previewmode to watch out for bugs and give it its final touches,than it automatically saves,still is that back-to-desktop-bug annoying me heavily.

@aktrekker
good idea,finally I have a reason to buy a DVD without having a DvD-Player for TV (only for PC),no one will laugh at me for that,heh

There is a simple program here which helps.
http://www.skribblerz.com/editortools.htm

Also if you have an Intel cpu, disabling the Hyper-Threading feature in your computers Bios, also makes a big difference to the Editor's spinning room problem.
