Default Batman costumes

i hope there will be different costumes you can unlock in the game like the the suit that was used to fight Bane, the Azerial armor or the Batman Beyond suit and every suit have special powers to them.

Having extra suits as bonus material to unlock after you've beaten the game I wouldn't mind. Having extra suits in the game as part of the normal gameplay, though, I wouldn't like. It would definitely give the game replay value, though, to go back after you've beaten the game with suits that give Batman different options for dealing with things (different options born from the abilities of the different suits)

"Azrael"

But yeah, some alternate costumes with actual game-affecting abilities would be nice (ala Spider-Man for PSOne).

My personal wish list...
1) Armor from Kingdom Come
2) A '60s-esque costume
3) The "Az-Bat" costume would be really cool, but they would need to make it closer to Batman #500 for it to still work with the same game mechanics...

Personally, I'd really like for there to be alternate characters to use on multiple play-throughs. Maybe Nightwing and Robin. The Cassie Cain Batgirl would be fun too. This would also be great if they decided to build in any sort of multi-player (but I doubt it will happen).

All these are great ideas, I love the Kingdom Come Suit, its awesome. Yeah it would make it better reply value to get them after the game. One of the Bat Suits I would love to see was from a " What If " comic about Kal-El being found by the Waynes instead of the Kents. That Bat Suit looked sweet.

we need more costumes for replay value. Maybe add some achievements for them also.

Since we are talking suits, throw in the World's Greatest Detective suit. It is baby blue.

Yeah, the effects would be like it was flexible and you could move faster, but Reduces protection.

yeah i think there should be unlockable costumes with unique abilities.
But playing one game over and over, comin to the same old scenario just with a new look doesnt sound cool. I think The game should have high replay value so as we can overcome an obstacle in different ways just by using different technique or if could get hopeful different attributes of the same costume.
Thats surely gonna ring a lot of bells.

The different suit idea along with the different characters to replay the game would be really awsome. But the suit I would like to see the most is that Batman begins suit. I know The Dark Knight is more recent. But when I look at both suits side to side, I think the begins suit just makes batman look more powerful. So if that was added to the game, I'd be so excited =P

Multiple costumes do definetly raise the replay value up. Just look at SoulCalibur 4 and the JLA, Marvel Alliance games (thanks for bringing back those good memories of Spiderman for the Ps1 Llucky, loved those suits).
Some of my favorite suits are
  • Gotham By Gaslight
  • Michael Turner's Batman/Superman : Supergirl opening scene suit. (even though it's for underwater)
  • Alex Ross's Justice Armor Suit
  • Batman Liberty Files

*Opens up Justice vol3* The suit were made by Doc Magnus, Niles Caulder and Ray Palmer(aka The Atom), some of it is alien armor, some mythic, some natural as in The Metal Men enveloping them. The reason for the mass armor is due to Brainiac infecting the JL with microscopic mechanical leeches (which he stole from Doctor Sivana) that can control and corrupt the Leaguers. In terms of Batman, that's his own armor he made. The only other Leaguer to have their own armor is Wonder Woman (a real letdown to the male Metal Men :P)the Atom and Red Tornado because he's not human.

SPOILER

Btw, you should pick the three books, Jim Krueger and Alex Ross just hit it out of the ball park.

That suit is okay, Batman looks more like Darth Vader than Batman. I'd like to see a new design for the suit, but I'd like them to keep the cape and cowl, for me those are the signature icons that make a Batman.

If it comes to extra costumes, I'd prefer the "standard" costumes he wore over the years:

Classic blue and grey batsuit with spotlight bat symbol (neal adams era)

Year One/ modern batsuit (blue and grey variant)

Year One/ modern batsuit (black and grey variant)

No Mans Land batsuit

These four costumes take precedence over everything else. And although the idea of having costumes that augment your abilities sounds cool, I don't want to spend the entire game in a clunky suit of armor.

I also hope they white out the irises in his eyes to give a more classic comic book feel.
