Demo won't start

The demo seems to install okay for me but when I double-click the icon to start it, I get an exception error in TOD.exe. Tried downloading it twice, once from Fileshack and once from Gamespot, and they both do the same thing.

My specs should be fine: Win XP SP2, 1 GB DDR RAM, GeForce FX5900 Ultra 256MB, Pentium 4 3.06Ghz, plenty of available hard drive space. Not having problems with any other game or program.

Any ideas/anyone else having this problem?

Try filefront, I got the same error from another place.

Thanks for the suggestion. Just tried the Filefront one, though, and it does the same thing. This demo just doesn't like my system for some reason.
