Thief 3 and saitek keyboard fix!!!
this was for a different game but works all the same:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I went out to Saitek site’s and found this under their Keyboard Support Page:
“Q3: I'm having problems with some games when I try and run them with the Gamers' Keyboard plugged in - what can I do?
A3: There are a couple of known games that have issues with the presence of the Gamers' Keyboard; known titles that have problems are the moment are Planetside, Star Wars: Battlefront and Thief: Deadly Shadows. Other titles may exist that have problems but they have not been reported yet.”
Saitek’s work-around to this problem is to go into Device Manager and look under Human Interface Devices for two or more entries named USB Interface Device. What you want to do is double-click on each USB Interface Device entry; then look on the Properties tab and make sure that it says USB Gaming Keyboard Pro next to Location.
After you’ve located the right entries, you want to right-click on them (and only them) and select Disable from the pop-out menu, answering Yes to any prompts. One of the entries will not have Disable as an option when you right-click on it—that’s the one that obviously should be left as-is. Close Device Manager, and the problem with the game (or in my case, the peripheral) should be solved. Once I disabled the extra entries as Saitek instructed, the Force Feedback option under Need for Speed Underground 2 was no longer grayed out when either of the Saitek keyboards were connected.
