Another slow performence issue...

Hey all,

I recently purchased DE:IW, but have been unable to play it to due to unbelievable slow performence.

I of course came here and tried all of the above mentioned tweaks and recommendations to increase preformence, but all have hence failed otherwise I wouldn't be posting here.

I'm currently on:

AMD64 Athlon 2800+
GFFX5200
512DDR @ 400mghz
ASUS K8V-X (w/ updated BIOS)

I have run the game at lowest detail in all ranges, that means nothing is added as an effect-- bloom, vsync, etc... And yet, the problem persists.

I have noticed that it lags the most when it needs to render animations, like the fan in the inital room. Perhaps this is a hint to the solution? Thanks.
