box puzzle in strahov fortress

I caught a ride on the container over the wall, I killed the three guards and I'm at the two movable boxes. Now what? Tell me which box to move and where to move it. It doesn't seem to be pertinent to the next move in the game as far as I'm concerned. Do I need to get up top on the catwalk above my head? Please help.
