Hammerite church - unstamped gear

Okay I know this sounds silly, but I can't for the life of me find that damn unstamped gear!! I've gone into the 'storage area' and looked around.

I think I took a health vial thing, and i picked the lock on the chest in there and took some arrows and read the book on the shelf, but that's it!!! I know what I have to do re: getting the chalice but I cannot find this gear.

Can anyone help me?? please?? *desperate*
