But just because they're a different person, does that make it ok to have sex with your sister? I don't think so. It does matter whether they're genetically the same.

They've got to have the same DNA to go through the teleport, so they've had their DNS modified ... I believe that means replaced. The recruits all have JD's DNA so they are genetically identical, but they all have different birth histories so they are not legally related.

You might ask how the female recruits can have the male JD's DNA. Females have two X chromosomes; males have an X and a Y chromosomes. The female recruits could be biologically sound if the doctors left out JD's Y chromosome and doubled up his X chromosome for them. At least, that's how I see it.

This plot position, however, wasn't particularly well explained. Frankly I don't trust the guy. Yeah yeah I know, everyone was trying to use me to their own ends, but this is a guy who hates everything I represent. Of all the people to distrust, this guy is the most deserving. In my opinion, anyhow.
