The inspiration came from a Pulp Art exhibit they had at the Brooklyn Musuem.
Among the original cover art they had, there were text explanations about the various genres and artists.
The text displays had plexiglass in front of them with transparent silouettes of characters, crime scenes
and sci-fi images. They looked like shadows falling on the text.
The shape of the vampire creature in my window was kind of
dictated by how to make it fit in the seperate window panes.
Subconciously, Nightmare Before Christmas probably did have an effect on
some of it. That's one of my all time favorite movies.

Cool, Deek. May I assume they look like that from the outside at night?

There is a house around the corner from us that does something similar. Don't know what they use to make theirs (or if they were purchased). They have Frankenstein and a Witch stirring a cauldron. (Just up your alley, AmO! ) If it's cellophane, they've used black.

I always thought they looked pretty cool. Maybe I'll have to do something like that myself next Hallowe'en.

The reason I used celephane was that I wanted it to be transparent
from the inside during our party.
