I am pissed off to hear that many many MANY other people who are having as many problems with this game as my self and my brother.
I own an Xbox and I have run into several problems! Like right now I am in Cairo and I used a frag grenade to kill a light spider bot in a vent shaft to gain access to the templar hide out and the Omar some how miraculously got hit as well. I know this cause i went over to the trader before I continued on after that and got attacked for attacking them which was total bs. I reloaded fixed my problem okay, bug move on. Now I am in bay 24 and I got the schematics for the armor and the Omar trader said sure come by and check out what we found out about it. Nope I go to him and he acts like another useless automaton. I reloaded the game all the way back before I went into bay 24 and got the info again but this time I went straight to the Omar and still the same gd thing !!Other issues I have had with the Xbox version in Cairo yet again I tried to drop a loading palette and it put me under the floor and killed me ! My brother is having issues running the game on a 2 gig, 768 ram, a 9700 Pro and he has extreme pixilation issues (on this game only) when looking at people in the game (around their head ) and when he first starts the game or reloads it he has to move the resolution down a notch and then bring it back up for it run right, wtf is up with that ?!?Now these are serious issues, with obviously no fix for the Xbox because no one cares about console games after they released. I loved the first game and it was the crowning jewel for how games should be when released nearly flawless, now this one is the pinnacle of what games should not be when released. Obviously the game reviewers are either too stupid to notice these issues or they just want to promote the hype. |

To fix the pixelation problems get the DNA drivers posted on the tweak guide. They will fix that problem. If it helps, I am sorry for you losses. But, unfortunately that is most likely the only apology you will get, and I didn't even make the game. It would be nice to have a formal apology from Eidos and Ionstorm.

I forgot to mention another issue that I am have had with the DX:IW on the box. I took an elevator into a bio lab in the suites of Cairo and I heard a real loud noise. I checked my inventory and all of my food was gone missing not on the floor not in the previous room where I entered the elevator or any place. I reloaded the game and took the elevator again and the same damn bloody sound and with that the food was gone again. I also heard the same annoying screech when I entered North Cairo just before I went to go see the Omar for my armor, coincidence? I think so. The last thing I can recall is sometimes the inventory or the biomod upgrade or the data vault screen just suddenly pop up on their own. Now it only happens when I am in either of the screens.
I have been playing about 10 hours on this game now for the Xbox and this is the first time I have had any type serious amount problems with this game. I would like to know how to fix them because this asinine, ludicrous, absurd and just a plainly rushed game for the holidays. I have every intention on going back to the store I bought it from and get my money back and if they refuse I am going to call the Inspector General (because I am in the military) and the Better Business Bureau, this not a threat eidos it is a promise get your head out your butt and get it right the first cause I have had it with game companies thinking they can make an inferior product and then sell there is a law like that for shady car dealers it’s called the lemon law and it looks like we are going to petition congress for them to pass a similar law here in the states because we spend more on games then we do movies. So maybe we as gamers need to start taking legal action against these companies if the stores refuse to give us our money back. |

I agree with that. I've got the Xbox version as well and it locks up every time I try and travel to the Black Gate in Germany. I even tried exchanging the game with no luck. My next trip to the store I guess I'll have to return this game.

Although gamer to gamer, it is unfortunate that you are having problems with the game, I can say from personal experience that it worked great on 2 separate Xboxes I have played on. No crashes, no save game problems, no problems at all.
Given my personal experience with it I have to point the finger at your Xbox. Is it modded? Do you have an Xbox DVD Remote plugged in? Either of these might cause an issue. |

Turns out it was the game Grey Mouser. Or the Deus Ex cache file on the Xbox harddrive to be specific. After talking to M$ tech support I went out, bought a memory card and copied my saves to it. Then deleted the Deus Ex section in the dashboard and copied my saves back again. Cleared the problem right up.
I'm not sure if this was caused originally by some fault in the game or just some freak occurence. |
