I have done a lot of thinking on this.. A LOT of tweaking, to get the game to the point it was playable, and finally played it all the way through once.. and am playing at again to see what different choices in the game do with the plot.
Some opinions though of mine, first off I understand

happens, deadlines get out of hand and a game gets released with problems, I know I for one would have a TON more respect if one fricking dev would post and say "Yes there is a problem, We are working on it" You know so I don't feel like I just got screwed into buying a half busted game.
To be honest given the choice between having the full game now, having to tweak it, and getting a patch in a month, or playing the demo until January, I am glad to have the full game now, I think it is a very good game, but christ, show some respect to your customers, and at least acknowledge that there is a serious issue.. Don't just treat us like morons and wait for us to get tired of complaining, because if that's honestly how it is then hey lesson learned, don't buy any more Eidos games until they have been out a month and I can read some reviews. It sucks, but the ball is in you guys court. I don't think any of the more rational people have asked you guys to move mountains. We just want acknowledgement, and a realistic ETA on a patch.
I owuld also like to say kudos to the community here.. Were it not for the players pulling together a good 80% of us would have taken the game back to the store in disgust. So you know while your posting that ETA on the patch you might want to thank the people here giving free tech support for the game YOU released broken.
Thanks everyone here for all the great advice!
