Cool "Its too dark, I can't see. Help!!!!" BANG! 'thud'

Has anyone played the game in its normal gamma range?

I tried it, without altering the game & setting my monitor to full.

Closed any sunlight or artificial light disturbances & still its very dark, I bump into boxes very often. I think I once knock a NSF soldier by accident too.

But the NSF barely have the same visual problems.
