All of the stores were closed. So nowhere anyone could get ice, or water.

The fire hydrant water was nice and cold and CLEAN, though. I heard that traffic was Hell as everyone tried to get home. The in-bound Lincoln Tunnel was especially bad. It happened precisely at rush hour. What luck...

Freaked out??? ... how much does gasoline cost there? Over here it's like $1.75 a gallon. Ripoff.

Come to NY. The rents may be sky high, but we don't charge $35 for a gallon of water. That alone makes you want to shell out $800 a month for a one-bedroom apartment!
