Lightbulb A thought

As you may or may not know, TR has been handed over to Crystal Dynamics, a US based gdc.

This means,

Core won't be making TR7.

This could mean a whole bunch of things, including Core folding altogether (please, NO!). Or it could be an oppertunity for an Eden sequel.

Or is this called wishful thinking?

Hi

We could only hope! But whatever the gameplay value of a given title, the only real factor that will be taken into account in the end is its sales ranking. And sadly, PE did very poorly in that domain. I guess most of the blame is due to the fact that people were comparing it to TR -- which it had nothing to do with, of course. But people were kind of expecting TR in the future.

I remember talking with Gavin Rummery at the time when he was actively visiting the forum. He was very enthusiastic about the game, but he recognized that its commercial failure seriously hampered any chance of a follow-up.

Evil Eidos, Evil Americans (sorry to any americans who see this).

Maybe this would be the time to contact Core in a series of emails requesting a ProE sequal?

Eh, not all Americans are evil. Just the ones able to wield any kind of commercial or political power.

Not of course that there's much difference, mind.

An American is annoying but harmless. An American in power (Bush) is a threat to the world.
Take Homer (Bush) as an average american and place him in charge (Bush).

(again, no offence to any americans viewing (Bush). This is simply a generlisation not picking any (Bush) out in (Bush) particular (Bush).

But back to topic, anyone up for an email barrage? It may atleats make them look at it again even though they will get, what, 4 emails.

Well, I think we should go in search of Project Eden forums (if there are any active ones still ) and tell them to, we pick a day and then just send a bunch of emails.

I'm so in!
