Jake Gyllenhall as Nightwing:  David Tennant as Riddler(For a more classic Riddler, David Hyde Pierce.'Nuff Said):   Black Mask (Doesn't matter, you won't see his face)  Anne Hathaway as Barbara Gordon:  Gerard Butler as Thomas Elliot/Hush  Phillip Seymour Hoffman as Oswald Cobblepot/Penguin  Javier Bardam as Bane

I miss this thread. I was thinking about this cast the other day, and I think that Andy Griffith would've made a very interesting Joker. Also, this thread is suddenly relevant again now that Nolan's trilogy is over and done.

I'm not kidding, though. If you've ever watched The Andy Griffith Show, you should know about his goofy grin and almost too innocent to be real demeanor. That innocence could be a powerful tool for an actor playing a villain. Put him in a film with a cast like I have above (sans The Chaneys, as Man-Bat wasn't created until 1970, and I obviously don't need 2 Jokers
) with a master director like Alfred Hitchcock, and you could have an incredibly powerful Batman film.

Yup, watched them so much I probably know most episodes by heart.
I think if you used the entire cast for a Batman film, lol, you'd really have some gold there. Floyd, the Barber, is already the Mad Hatter, heh Griffith, to this point, I could actually see playing a much darker character than Knotts (Knotts playing such a dark villain might be too disturbing just because it's so wrong). Anything directed by Hitchcock would be hard-pressed to fail, also. Yeah, that would be something to have seen. Hitchcock could have made a cameo as the Calendar Man

I'd like to start this post off by saying that you, sir, have great taste in entertainment. The Andy Griffith show is amazing, and I still enjoy it to this day. I'll be damned, Floyd was the Mad Hatter, wasn't he? A friend of mine recorded 119 of the 120 episodes of the classic Batman series from The Hub, so every now and then, we'll find ourselves watching it when we get together. The other night was George Sanders as Mr. Freeze. As for Hitchcock, apparently, Calendar Man was introduced in 1958, so the timing would be right, but I'm not so sure that the incarnation would be.
If I'm not mistaken, wasn't Calendar Man initially a costumed villain? I'm not quite sure how Hitchcock would look in a tight red outfit with a cloak and shoulder pads made from pages of a calendar. I was thinking that Hitchcock could be (surprisingly) Alfred. It wouldn't be totally inaccurate, considering that Alfred's initial incarnation in Detective Comics was a somewhat portly man (even though by the time my film would come out, Alfred would have adopted his slender, mustachioed appearance some 16-20 years earlier in 1944).

Batman- James McCaffrey Joker- Michael Sheen, James Franco, or Adrian Brody Jim Gordon- I can only imagine Clint Eastwood in the role all of a sudden. Mr. Freeze- Patrick Stewart Clayface- Bruce Campbell (C'mon, why not?) Hush- Thomas Jane (I don't exactly have much experience with the charterer, so if this bad casting, please tell me) Calender Man- Kevin Spacy or Me (Or so I'm told by a friend) Riddler- Stephen Colbert Bane-I...I can only imagine Tom Hardy in the role now.
