Sniper Challenge crashes on startup

Hi.

The game crashes on startup, sometimes after a few seconds, sometimes after showing the red sniper challenge screen.

I have an intel 960 processor, 6 gig ram and an Nvidia GTX680 gfx

Have tried to:

• update to lates GFX drivers,
• restart Steam,
• restart windows,
• deleted and reinstalled game,
• change the game gfx settings from low-medium-high-ultra and some custom things,

I hope someone can help, I'm at my wits ends ..

ps. Have some "hmsc_4550_crash_2012_8_3T13_59_8C0.mdmp" files if some devs want em.

OK, an update.

The game does not crash when the steam overlay is on, but as soon as I disable the overlay and try to play the game it crashes again.

This is quite frustrating and I hope the [developers/support group] take some time and look at this post.

I can not play the game like this.

I'll give this a go. First off, your system is faster than mine, so you should have no problem running it.

Some ideas to try.

1. Disable your anti-virus, see if it plays.
2. Dumb down graphic options to minimum, see if it plays. Not just change to low, but manually go through everything and change to lowest settings.
3. Re-install Steam.

Clarify "crash." The game just kicks you back to windows, the whole computer locks up, BSOD?
