Parachute Problem Error

I have a big problem with the parachute in this game I am about 20 percent complete in the game and when I was about 8 percent done, right after a mission, the parachute feature in the game just simply disappeared and never came back.

This made me very mad and still does I can't believe that a entire ability to use a parachute would just fail and go away as if it was never in the game. I have tired so much to fix this but no matter what I do its still a problem and I have no way of using a parachute in the game which really sucks.

I hope this gets fixed along with the many other major issues this game has. I really like this game and see it as a breakthrough in sandbox style games but if the creators of this game can't fix these issues soon my game will be up on ebay for resale.

I play JC2 on PLAYSTATION 3 if anyone has a solution to this problem please help, thanks.

Epic. Fail. Cant help you there sorry, have you tried starting a new game? I play it on PC, coz its a lot more reliable :/

Ya this sucks it makes me not want to play the game even though I enjoy playing and I'm not starting the game over because this (parachute disappearing from game completely) might happen again anyways.

I hope that the developers are taking some serious measures to fix this error infested game.

It happens on a specific mission. I can't remember which one, however. Sorry. Try asking around a bit? Maybe someone else will know.

Not that this any help I know, but why wouldn't you immediately stop playing and go to an earlier save?

Becuase I kept playing without noticing that the parachute was completely gone and then I thought if I go to an earlier save then this will most likely happen again anyway.

I NEED A SOLUTION, PATCH THIS PROBLEM......PLEASE!

Well I know it sucks... but if you are only 8% then you should just start over. You can get that far in probably 3 hours. Since i'm 100 hours in, that isn't exactly a big chunk.

yep dude same problem with me i got done with that mission with the tv brodcast and bam i was falling and i couldent deploy my chute gah it takes alot from the game its hard tho i love the game but without a chute it kinda herts it a bit XD still love it i wish u luck if u can find a way to help us get it fixed

Same Problem on the 360... Even brought the thruster pack that comes with the original chute and it didn't fix it... Want a patch to come out!

That is VERY weird... Because I played that mission and the same thing happened to me... But after It happened, I was able to use it again... It only caused me to fall 500 meters and react as a 30 meter drop instead of a 500 meter drop... (10 feet drop compared to skydiving...) After I landed on the ground, I was able to continue the mission WITH my parachute... Maybe they patched it... Idk, I got this game a few days ago (Last Tuesday...)
I played that mission either on Friday or Saturday... (I'm already over 50% Into the game...)

The bug happens at one of the tower cutscene jumps. There are multiple ones; One in the mission Stranded at Hantu Island and there is the one from a skyscraper. I heard a rumor that if you complete another mission with Rico jumping off another tower (with a cutscene showing it) you will have it back.

I'm not sure of this though!

I had this problem on my profile and I managed to fix it. (On PS3) This glitch occurs when you complete the "Pirate Broadcast" mission for the Reapers. When you jump of the building the satellite dish blows up behind you and you have just lost your ability to deploy your parachute. Now, I was too stubborn to quit my profile because I liked the game so much I kept on playing without my parachute. Unfortunately, the game became more difficult and boring without it and I was almost about to quit for good. Now, I found a mission that "cures" you of this parachute glitch. That mission is "Stranded" mission for the Ular boys. I believe that it was a stronghold take-over and I was cured of this awful glitch which shouldn't occur in the first place. Unfortunately, I do not know if this works for Xbox 360 or PC. You could try the same thing but I will not guarantee it. I ONLY KNOW THIS WORKS ON THE PS3!!! Also, if you have completed the "Stranded" mission before the "Pirate Broadcast" then you might as well start over. (Or be stubborn like me!) I hope this helped.
