how about a baby burrick?
at least then he has someone to blame any odours on when he brings dates back to his place.
im sure he chucks on the barry white, lights some candles, and says in a super smoothe voice "hey baby, check out this bling i got ya" as he pulls out a nice ring he swiped from a nobles bedside on his previous mission.
maybe he should of hit on the widow moira, shes single

I was thinking of a trained parrot, that would look out the window at his residence. And if it saw a city guard it would say “ City Guard Ark”. It could be trained to say who is coming, so Garrett would always be a step ahead. And it could fool people coming to his door and talking into his residence and buy him some time to escape through a secret passage or something. Like if someone was saying open up this door, the parrot would say " just give me a minute" and things like that.

A baby burrick is really the only creature that would work. It doesn't make sense story wise or fit with Garrett in any way, shape, form, or smell. But, Burricks are so cuddly and adorable! I want to hug one of those gas monsters.

Having a pet in traditional sense for Garret is just a silly idea... But maybe we can elaborate on that a little bit?

He already uses scouting orbs, so why not an automaton that has a few additional uses? Something from mechanists? A tool, basically, that has some kind of resemblence to a pet?

Not something that takes too much focus away from your skill set... Maybe something you still have to use actively, by skill?

Maybe a robotic spider-like appandage that you place on locks, and it connects to Garret's mechanical eye, and we see inside of the lock, using our skill actively to lockpick it? Like you see where you have to aim the triangle pick, the square pick? I don't know... Just trying to throw some ideas. Long time no see by the way. I always came, threw a quick look and went back into the shadows. Almost ghosting. Heh.

Anyway the above idea was not a pet perhaps. Dunno. Maybe sparks something else in someone else's mind?

I think you might want to feed it a few breath mints first.

No. Garrett is a loner like me. I don't have a pet and I hate pets. The only animals I tolerate are the ones in my meal.

Ha! I remember shooting a mouse/rat somewhere?

He could send'em thru the keyhole to unlock the door if his lockpicks fail.

A pony would be stupid, no steath, high maintance and where the would he keep a pony? He lives in a city? He should a raven because they could go pick locks for him be trained to do things like distract a guard by dropping something or some like that.

I hate those stupid frowny faces censoring the swear words, freedom of *** speech! freedom of god damn, mother ***, stomp'n speech!

There's no freedom of speech to swear here. One of the rules you agreed upon when joining is to not use profanity when posting.

It's always pretty funny to watch people discussing an 18+ rated game focused on cold-blooded murder, like Hitman, and the forum system automatically censors anything it interprets as profanity. There is nobody in these forums who is actually offended by profanity. I'm absolutely certain about it. Nobody. Those people do not exist.

Or is it that any profanity automatically invalidates anyone's point because of some conservative rules of "serious" discussion?

Face it, the reason profanity isn't allowed isn't because of any actual person having an opinion against it. The system was introduced a long time ago, and was never removed even though nobody really supports it, or cares about profanity.

If you enter " Square Enix" in Google, the official site or forum won't appear on the first page of results. That's the whole purpose of the filter.

Hear what you say but there are many people who do care about profanity, ask any mod who has to deal with a report.

Anyway, you may be interested to know that we have a brand new smiley for censored words:

I would have preferred a nice fluffy pink heart shape emoticon lol... ... but this looks cool too.

Default Dark Assistants For Garrett

Actually I Believe Garrett Should Have Two Animal Allies To Assist Him - One For The Air For His Eyes Above The Scene He Is Scouting ,And One Low To The Ground For Areas He Can't Get Into Like Holes In A Wall Which He Can Also Channel His Impression In Order To See Through It's Eyes And Surroundings To Impress Upon The Creature To Open A Gate Or Steal Keys Etc...

These Creatures Being The Raven And The Ferret Both Which Have Thieving Connotations And Both Can Act In Stealth Mode In Order To Pass By Enemies To Get Past Areas Too Tight For Garrett To Access Without Getting Caught, Drop Ladders Perched Higher Up On Walls To Dropping Water Globes To Put Out Torches And Lamps From Areas Garrett Can't Easily Reach With Bows Without Distracting Attention From Guards On Ramparts Where A Raven Or Ferret Wouldn't Draw Attention Carrying A Water Globe That When Let Go From A Talon Or Jow Can Put Out A Torch Lower On The Wall But Too High For Garrett To Reach With An Arrow.

Something To Think About!
