would it be a lot of work to put SR1 into the same engine as SR2 (and maybe merge the two titles...) ?

Defiance - 1.91 GB
No idea about the bonus material though.
Double layered? Proper archiving gave me 2.3 gigs. Not even a single-layered DVD.

I would just like to say, I am still down for this. If Lara Croft gets an 10(11)th year anniversary, LOK should get some sort of 15(16) year birthday momento. Preferably with Trophies and an art book, is all I'm saying. (Waitaminute, wasn't Umah looking for our favourite pictures for 'research'?) Though naturally you know the present to the fans that'll please us most...

The total size of the installers is 3.61 GB. But if we are talking about a console release then there is no such thing as proper archiving (or any archiving at all).

Well, if we're talking about original installers...
Still, not even a single-layered DVD.

Now that's an idea - it seems a lot of games these days instantly get expanded into a wide range of other media with art-work books, extensive comics(I'm not discounting the LoK comics; they just don't tell us much beyond what we already knew), novelisations etc etc - I think we can all agree LoK is deserving of that sort of attention.

i agree pleaseEidos answer the call of you fans you call yourself a games company atlease epic and EA listen to what the fans have to say you's really just suck for 8 years now you have blindly ignored your fans!!! all we ask for is the legacy of kain hd collection containing soul reaver 1 soul reaver 2 blood omen 2 and defiance is that too much to ask for i mean you make games like tomb rainder the game sucks give it up just the same old crap jump to get the that ledge find the next ledge now jump again with crappy graphics i would still rather play the origonal soul reaver to any tomb raider games any day and if i had to choose between tomb raider and anything else for instance assasins creed assassins creed wins any day because as i have said a million times before the game sucks we all want the same thing here a hd collection of all the LOK games not just soul reaver 2 defiance and blood omen 2 it would have to contain soul reaver 1 because its the best game out there and you just let it slip away you let all your fans down Eidos you really did never been so dissapointed!!!!

I mean if capcom can bring out a resident evil HD collection, devil may cry HD and konami can bring out a metal gear solid HD collecting whats stoping you from doing it with LEGACY OF KAIN.

Oh thats right if you ever do youll probly use your ty tomb raider HD collection thats games is there all the same every game feels the same when your playing it terrible gameplay thats one thing soul reaver did have was amazing gameplay

LOK Raziel, kindly utlize the [THUMB][/THUMB] tags if you're going to post large images. This will prevent the distortion of the forum layout.

I've edited your image accordingly.

Thanks!

There is a polish collection is there not that features everything but the original blood omen? Would it be too much work to take that and adapt it for PS3/XBOX360 etc...? (I heard that the dubs used in them are even in english so less work)

Because there are only three games in the series, of course.

If it were on the PS3, they could include vouchers for the other two psx games (not sure about availability on x360). I like that image, mainly cos Blood Omen 2 was the second of those three games developed, but shouldn't be central to the collection...

I find it funny how All these other companies are releasing HD collections & Lok series doesn't get even 1 !
Doing a HD of bo1 & sr1 is prolly too much a hassle but sr2 & defiance "seems" achievable.
I doubt there would be a bo2 HD since that wasn't recieved well by gamers.
What i think Should be done is a total remake of bo1 & or sr1 since they're very old looking.
If tomb raider can get a remake i don't see why bo1 or sr1 can't.
I predict this E3 we will get a surprise announced that BO1 is being remade BY the original dev team)

A hd release of SR 1 and 2 for both xbox and ps3 would be great, and it would suck in new gamers to the franchise. Both games in terms of gameplay still works, especially sr1, so why not?

all i know is that it was the best version out of the bunch, i saw it briefly so i can't verify it since it was my friend that owned a DC.
pretty sure it wouldn't take much porting the DC ver to 360.
DC was a great system, sad it had such a rough time competing

I personally believe that if they were to make an HD LoK collection it would take a lot of work, especially on BO 2, with the framerate drops and sound popping in and out. I think if they were to do this they should just put a graphics layer over each game like Halo Anniversary

Would you want the "LOK: HD Collection" to have the ability to switch between graphics like Halo Anniversary?

Default Games Radar want LOK HD also :)

Games Radar:
From about 1999 to 2003, the Legacy of Kain series became a widespread obsession with gamers. Known for nuanced storytelling, unconventional protagonists, amazing boss fights and rich Shakespearean baritones, the series raised the bar for writing and acting in games, and pulled players along an increasingly complicated narrative that involved vampires, altered timestreams, soul-eating and a centuries-long war between two ancient, alien races. And then it just sort of… went away.

Now that there’ve been rumors of a possible reboot, however, interest in the series has picked up a little, and what better way to reacquaint ourselves with the series than to play through versions of its latter four chapters that don’t look muddy (and reward us for our dedication with fatter gamerscores)? Better still, we could go through the whole story in one fell swoop; any cliffhanger endings would just be an incentive to start up the next game.

And yeah, realistically, we probably wouldn’t get the original PSOne/Dreamcast Soul Reaver (as depicted in our mockup box art above) if this actually happened – which would be a shame, because it was arguably the best game in the series, as well as a much better entry point than Soul Reaver 2. But hey, this isn’t about what we think we’ll see, it’s about what we want to see. (And while we’re on the topic, we wouldn’t say no to an HD-optimized version of Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain, either.)
