Just got the game. Got it from D2D. Downloaded it and installed it. Started game, went into Windows Live and got the 1.1 update.
Started game and I can't get past the first section. When walking Joker, I get to the point of the second cutscene and then crash every time. Error is: General Protection Fault History: QA_APPROVED_BUILD_OCTOBER_2008 177051 19-08-2009 13:45:35 FMOD: 42200/42200 Game GImage::GImage () Address=0xall367 (filename not found) GImage::GImage () Address=0xa00e9a (filename not found) I have the latest vid (GTX 280) and sound card (X-Fi Xtreme Gamer Pro) drivers and latest DX9. So now I have this game and can't play it at all. Needless to say, I'm not a happy camper (as all my umpteen other games run just fine).

Is a problem with patching the D2D version of the game.

FYI: The problem occurs back at the start of the gordon sequence, causing a video stutter - however Bink continues playing the movie right up until you would otherwise get control of Batman. I'm running Win7 64bit with a GTX 285; I do have a second drive but everything is installed on the default drive and in the default locations. Right clicking Documents -> Properties shows me My Documents (C:\Users\osmith) Public Documents (C:\Users\Public) with a check next to My Documents (save location) |

It seems to be a Windows Live Assistant problem. My exact problem was that I had it disabled under Services. I simply re-enabled it and the problem was fixed.

This problem is actually much simpler to fix than everyone seems to be making out of it... Simply set to 'Run as administrator' in properties.
1. Right click on game launcher 2. Properties 3. click on 'Compatibility' tab 4. check box that says 'Run as administrator' problem solved! (^_^) |

I don't care if this is an old topic it's
that people are still having trouble with this- Arkham Asylum kept on crashing on me all the time and I tried everything over the net but the way I got it to work properly was setting the resolution to 1024x768 (NOT fullscreen) in the settings before the game booted up.
