Default Uses only one of my four CPU core

Hello, can you help me please?

I have following PC:

Windows 7 x64
AMD FX-4100 (Quad core 3,6 GHz)
8 GB RAM
Sapphire Radeon 6870

When I try to play DE:HR, I got very bad performance, even during first menu screen. Tried to lower video settings but that didn't make any difference at all. I have all drivers and the game is patched. This bad performance didn't really happen to me in any other game.

Thank you for your help.

Default Uses only one of my four CPU cores

As the title suggests, I have immense lag ingame due to a lack of compatibility with my AMD-FX4100 Quad Core Processor. I have taken the time to get the latest Realtek audio driver, and the latest driver for my AMD Radeon 6670 (11.12). I have attempted to search for a solution to this problem, but have failed in finding any viable solution. Given my specs, which far surpass the recommended (let alone minimal) settings requirements, I initially thought that I would be able to run this game before buying it on Steam.

My specs are:

AMD FX4100 3.6ghz
8 gigs of RAM
1 gig of VRAM
Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit

My FPS ingame is, on average, 7-10. I can tolerate 20+, but any lower really hinders my game experience.

Below is a picture identifying that my computer only utilizes one of my four CPUS:

Thanks for reading.

Apparently other people are pronouncing similar issues with bulldozer CPU's like my own. Someone suggested to flash the BIOs of the FX4100, but I have never done that before and I don't feel like compromising my entire rig simply to suffice the need of one game having issues on my computer. Shame, I really wanted to play this game. Oh well.

It's not that difficult though, many boards offer tools to do it directly from Windows, which never gave me problems. Look at which versions are available and if they are supposed to fix it.

i have an amd fx6100 6 core processor and have the exact same problem.......

Eidos has completely ignored this problem and offer nothing to fix it...... there are threads and posts from over 2 months ago asking for help on this problem and every one of them has been completely ignored by Eidos so dont expect much help with this thread........

hopefully you got the game on sale so you didnt waste too much money on a game you cant play...... mine onyl cost me $10 thru amazon so it was rather cheap price to pay to learn never to buy a game from a company like this that has such horrible support........

This forum is pretty much abandoned by Eidos.
Anyway they also stated that the official Forum is not an official support venue.

If you have problems and don't find help from others here, I can only reccommend you to write directly to the support, seems the only way to make them take notice.

you are probably experiencing this problem..... running fanspeed (only one processor is active) and fraps (7fps) while playing will confirm it......

but dont expect any help from Eidos to fix this problem

There are a bunch of hidden power management settings - look at my post in another forum

You can try to set "Processor performance core parking min cores" setting to 100% to avoid core parking as it can be the culprit

vaard: If you plan to write email to official support, could you write the solution here? If you ever get one. Thanks.

sorry, havent been back to these boards in awhile....... last couple hours are slow here today and looking for pointless things to do to waste time.... and when it comes to pointless, finding help on these boards is top of the list.......

i gave up trying to fix it awhile ago........ every other high end game runs perfectly fine on my machine so i am not going to start messing with my puter and risk messing something up just to play this game........

i only spent a small amount of money on that game as a deal on amazon so i am not out much.......

i will voice my displeasure by never buying another game from this company again...... there was a package deal on steam for games by this company and i almost bought it, but then remember how crappy this company treats it players and passed......

i also use every chance i get to spread the bad reputation of this company whenever the subject of video games comes up....... i just let people know the experience i had with this company and let them decide for themselves..... nothing big, but i figuire it will cost them a sale here and a sale there........ i doubt i will hurt them, but i definately wont be helping them.........
