Problem:
- Game crashes while loading the menu, right after the Intro movies and copyright notice/cursor image. - ATI Radeon 9600 card (likely works with others, too) Solution (worked for me): Downgrade from Catalyst 8.7 to Catalyst 6.2 (6-2_xp-2k_dd_ccc_wdm_enu_30152.exe) - voila, the game works and is reasonably playable with all default options enabled. Note: Clean up your drivers with Driver Cleaner/CAB Cleaner and do a clean re-install! |

Just right click the shortcut for the game, click Properties, select the Compatibility tab, check the "Run this program in compatibility mode for" checkbox, and select Windows 2000.
This is for Windows XP. Have fun playing!

I have Win XP SP3 running on a Core 2 Duo E6300 cpu, with an ATI 4850 card. Snowblind crashed after about 5 minutes of play. I had to set the shortcut's Compatibility Mode all the way back to Win98/WinMe, and now it plays fine.

I'm surprised you're playing Project Snowblind in 2011
![]() Anyhow I'm sure you know that Deus Ex Human Revolution came out. It's pretty good but I still think the original one is best storyline and skill/aug system-wise. Happy Holidays
