Soul Reaver 2 on Win7 Widescreen issue

The game starts up fine and no issues so far. I haven't tried playing yet, will do but as soon as I change res to 1920x1080 which is my native the game freezes. Any fix for this? I have the 1.02 patch applied.

EDIT: Ok, the game seems to freeze with a black screen when I start the game too. However, if I alt-tab the .exe has not got the message "not responding" unlike my widescreen issue.
