Probably the last time I am going to attempt to help in this thread.
Iamvengeance, you're attempting to role play with players that have never role played before, and who seem to not wish to do anything but what they want to do. Your rules weren't strict, that I saw originally, even the no Disney characters. It's your propagative as the thread-starter to set those rules. The problem is that there's not that much traffic here for role playing games, nor are there any experienced role players, that I've seen. You should try the ArkhamCity.com boards, and first pm a moderator there to ask permission to start a role playing thread, let them know what the intent is and the rules and ask that they help you moderate it if things such as the spamming here go on. You'll get a lot more traffic and a lot more willingness of people to follow your rules, I am sure. In regards as to me participating: sorry. I don't really role play anymore, don't have the time to put into one, and further I wouldn't consider it unless it were first a serious game anyway. I mean serious as in concerted effort of all involved to be "professional" in how things are handled and the story content. You can have comedy and still this could be a serious game, but this is more just whatever floats people's boats, and that's not my interest. Anyway, my further help is this: Quote:
An explanation on Powergaming, or Godmoding. To answer people here whom may still be like "what's the big deal?" Characters can die in RPG's, and there's no reason why they can't here, if all are on board and agree to it, but they cannot be played, in any way, by other characters. That's the ultimate rude in an RPG. It's like taking someone's idea and using it to your own gain in the real world. You know, rude and unethical stuff? You aren't playing the other character, you aren't their controller, and therefore, you are not the master of another character's fate, nor where they are placed, how they react, or what they say after your characters' actions, or dialogue, toward them. To kill another character, or cause injury, you must ask first if you can take the action to the full extent via a pm, email, etc. Otherwise, it's the owner of the character you're striking/attacking to decide whether, or not, your character caused injury, or death. That is just the way it works. If you do it the other way, people get ticked off, and rightfully so. Anyway, enjoy this futility. Good luck.

You're welcome. I want you to know I didn't mean to come off as angry toward you, or your thread concept. I am not. I'm more expressing my frustration and disappointment at the behavior of the members posting here. Usually, no-one is this belligerent, or dismissive of new members that post here and all who do usually are good people. I don't know if they thought you a troll from another board, as I saw expressed earlier in the thread, but regardless, your behavior here hasn't warranted the reception you've received.
I also do not mean to say go to another board and post. I don't ever say that, but in this case, given what you've expressed as wanting to do here, I think you'll be much happier in an environment more conducive to a regular, well-mannered game of this sort taking place. The traffic in this section of these boards I don't think will be enough for it, nor is it the regulars' cup of tea, as you can see.

Why not just get rid of all of the nonsense entirely? Only DC characters; only Gotham characters(as this is Arkham City), and go from there.
