Even though Winston was already working for the Crofts when Lara was born, I think it'd be highly unlikely to see him making his appearance in Tomb Raider. Lara is trapped on the island alone, and it'd be one hell of a coincidence if he'd be trapped there to :P

Though there is a smaaaaaalllllll chance he will make his appearance. Remember the guy that pulled Lara out of the water in the Turning Point trailer? Karl's answer to the question who that was, was something like: 'We can't tell anything about him now, but we'll be revealing more about him closer to the release date.'
What if that character would be Winston, traveling with Lara on request of her parents? If Lara would be 21, he'd be in his mid-40's, making him strong enough to aid Lara in her survival. Maybe he will be a mentor, like Conrad?

i got it her parents or most likely winston is worried about lara !!!! cause they haven't heard from her or heard in the news that the ship crashed winston stays behind uses magic to see where lara is and her parents try to find her but die and lara is like i hate you so i don't care (so it doesn't go the underworld way)
