The screen is too dark... (AoD)

Hey there,

so i bought AoD not too long ago and have been playing it for a while. i noticed pretty quickly that the screen was ridiculously dark and most of the time if you were in a darker place (such as the louvre storm drains), it was near impossible to see. i tried adjusting the balance on the tv, but that does absolutely NOTHING. i noticed there's no way to change the light balance in the game itself.

it's a fairly new tv (bought new last year) so it shouldn't be having any problems.... i don't know what to do.... help?? please????
