Who is Patient X?

when your going through Medical trying to save all the doctors, on the intercom you hear Dr.Young speak of a "Patient X" and how they were the perfect candidate for the titan experiment (or something along those lines)

i was wondering who could be patient X? this was probably already answered, but this is one of the questions that came to mind when playing through Batman AA.

any ideas?

Actually I think she is talking about Joker, Joker is the one she names as being the perfect candidate for the Titan project in her interview tapes. Bane was just used for his Venom. If I remember things correctly

IIRC, Young says something about making great advances since acquiring subject X - presumably Bane's exposure to Venom made him a good test subject for Titan.

yeah I listened to the Joker interview tapes again, and I believe Bane is patient X. But I don't think he was ever actually subjected to Titan.

There isn't any evidence, that I'm aware of, that says Bane ever had access to Titan. What we saw was just Venom bc he didn't have the mutated spikes that Titan induces. They just used Bane for the Venom that's the only reason he is in the game.

The rest is just details about something sort of related.

To that end, Bane tells Batman that Young drained the venom from his blood. She used it to create Titan, but he's Patient X due to his person being the only venom-user around that's completely acclimated to the substance. She would have, if not directly on him, experimented on his tissue samples and blood to see how his cells reacted to the new formulas she was crafting, and finally that would be Titan. Otherwise, if she doesn't test the stuff on living tissue, how would she be so sure of its effects? Joker does the same, only he uses live underlings, instead of tissue and blood samples

And Bane could have not mutated under Titan due to his aforementioned acclimation to the venom in the first place. His unique bond with the stuff could have prevented such gross mutation. He was, in Batman's own words, appearing stronger than ever before this time around. When Joker pumps him full of the green stuff, I think either it's Titan, or an early stronger formula of venom. Either way, I doubt it's the regular venom he gets injected with there.

In fact, Bane might not be the only one who can suppress all-out mutation under Titan. Batman, himself, somehow "willed" his change NOT to occur for quite a time before he administered the antidote on himself. Other people change almost automatically and uncontrollably. It could be due to Batman testing the effects of all kinds of chemicals on himself to make sure he wouldn't become addicted to/susceptible to all manner of poisons/drugs, or even it could be from intentional venom testing on himself in the past. I believe some lore in the comics state that Batman has done both of these things. Anyway, this could be how he is able to resist Titan. Speculation, but I am trying to make it sound speculation, nonetheless.
