Once I get a working camera and my two cats to stay still, I'll post pictures...

Rasui is a year and three months, and Ari is nine months now. Both are male. I got Rasui first, and I got them both from a shop that gives away cats when the nearest shelter (an hour away) is overfilled. I gave Rasui his name. Ari came with his.

Rasui was getting a bit lonely at night (he explores during the day), so I decided it was time to get him a play mate. I didn't worry about him being territorial because really, he's not. He even plays with the neighbour's dogs. I wanted a male cat since I didn't want anything "freaky" going on between the two... and... well... that backfired. It never occurred to me that perhaps Rasui was getting along too well with female cats without humping them, you know. Well, now I know why.

Rasui's a medium-hair, and he's very muscular. He's a marbled tabby, with a white chest, chin, and front paws, and back socks. It doesn't look like it but he can jump ten feet in the air. That's how he gets on my loft bed – he just jumps off the floor and grabs the railing of my bed. It's pretty cool.

Before we got Ari (he was six months old at the time) he was purely an indoor cat, and it showed. He was shrimpy, but not exactly scrawny, since he had a bit of flab. I meant to keep him an indoor cat, but somehow he escaped at night... I was really worried, so I stayed up all night waiting for him. Three hours later he came back as cheerful as ever, completely oblivious to the trauma he made me undergo. Not that I could be mad at him... he's just so adorable. Puppy eyes, you know. Rasui's a flirt, and Ari is just adorable without even noticing it. That's how they get their way, lol.

Ari and Rasui are inseparable, and I'm glad, you know. Ari is still learning the ropes of climbing and jumping and doing the sorts of acrobatic stunts that Rasui can do that would make Ezio Auditore da Firenze look like a cripple, but he's getting there. He's starting to get muscular too, and he doesn't have flab. I'm still waiting for Ari to bring something home... The first time Rasui brought something home was just a week after we got him (he escaped too – he's very fast) and he brought home a cricket. I was so proud of him! Of course when he started bringing home giant rats my parents were a bit irked out... yeah... but they were impressed when he brought a humming bird home.
