Just Cause 2 is Forcefully Disabling 3D Vision

I just got Just Cause 2, and it is refusing to let me play in 3D Vision. The demo worked just fine, but the real game seems to be over riding my settings and forcefully disabling 3D vision in game.

The only other games I've seen do this (Batman and Bioshock 2) had in game settings to turn it on or off, but I see no such option in Just Cause 2.

The only time I've been sort-of-kind-of able to get it to work is when I disabled SLI. When I did that, it forcefully turned on 3D Vision Discover (the e red blue glasses version). I actually had to restart my PC to make it stop.

This is very frustrating for a game that supposedly has Nvidia's stamp of approval for 3D Vision.

Intel Core i5 750 2.66GHz
Dual Nvidia GeForce 9800GT 512MB in SLI
4GB DDR3 1333
I'm using the latest drivers available as of today for both the cards and the glasses.
