Lightbulb My thoughts about ''Sandbox Mode''

Just Cause 2 is a great game. However every game has it's flaws. In Red Faction: Guerrilla it was awesome to blow stuff up, but soon there would be no stuff to blow up anymore. In Call Of Duty 4 you could make custom classes for online, but not for split-screen. Thankfully that was fixed later in the sequel. In Just Cause 2 there is loads and loads of things to keep you busy. Until you've completed everything 100%. No more stuff to blow up. No planes spawning on military airstrips. All the awesome strongholds are completely empty. Now, Sandbox Mode. A great idea, is it not?

Sandbox Mode would be unlocked when you beat the game, and added as a new option for the main menu. In this mode, you would be unable to acquire achievements or trophies. You could not save, because there would be no need. Everytime you start Sandbox Mode, you would spawn at Blaine's house with everything in the black market unlocked and free, and every location discovered and all strongholds under military control. (To make them less boring.) Here is how I see Sandbox Mode:

First of all, we need to remedy stuff blowing up and not respawning. Since you would start anew with a fresh Panau whenever you quit and restart Sandbox Mode, everything you blew up would not be reduced to rubble anymore. Simple, no?

Now, it would get pretty boring after some time with nothing to do for a while, right? That is why missions could be made repeatable. How? I see three options:

1) At Blaine's house, which is your HQ, you would have a console that would activate a mission menu. The menu would basically break down sorting all the missions into categories like so:

>Missions

>Agency

>Strongholds

>Roaches
>Ramai Rakyat Islands
>Pelaut Archipelago
>Selatan Archipelago

>Reapers
>Berawan Besar Mountains
>Lautan Lama Desert
>Panau Tengah Bay

>Ular Boys
>East Tanah Raya
>West Tanah Raya
>Senjakala Islands

>Challenges (Races)

2) Have each faction's missions accessible at their original bases.

3) Have the mission menu in the black market.

In any case, in this menu you could choose a mission and then replay it. When finished everything done during the mission would be disabled and Rico spawns back at the mission console. (Or in case of the black market thing, where he began the mission.) This way, no destruction or changes made would be permanent. Or they would be erased when restarting Sandbox Mode, whatever. As I see it, having this and all other Sandbox Mode options in the black market would be easy and simple.

Only having this would be great, but now that i have begun writing about my ideas, might as well share them all here.

On the matter of death:

The only respawn locations are Blaine's house and the three original faction bases. This may sound bad, but with every location immediately available for extraction, it would not matter.

Of course, since it is Sandbox Mode, cheats and such other tweaks would be nice, like changing Rico's model to something hilarious. Some possible options are:

Models:

Rico Rodriquez
Tom Sheldon
Maria Kane
Pandak ''Baby'' Panay
Karl Blaine
Jade Tan
Razak Razman
Bolo Santosi
Sri Irawan
Ninja
Government Soldier
Roach Soldier
Reaper Soldier
Ular Boys Soldier
The Russian Guy
The Chinese Guy
The Japanese Guy (Don't remember the names)

Cheats:

Invincibility
Unlimited ammo
Never get heat
More heat
Less heat
Flying cars (F**K YES)
Flying boats
Indestructible vehicles

These could be accessed from the black market.

Then some little tweaks:

The ability to open and close the mouth of Wakah Rama Fortress at will
The ability to toggle the Hantu Island EMP cannon on and off
The ability to raise the PAN MILSAT satellite thing whenever
Be able to use all mission-specific things like these at will, in Sandbox Mode.
Everything in the black market upgraded to max from the start

Also please add PS3 custom soundtracks, so I can blast Highway To The Dangerzone while flying a plane or something.

Do this, and you will be my gods, Avalanche. I also do not wish to imply that your game is not great, in fact I think it is the best game I've played since the original Just Cause.

1. Start a new game.
2. Use mods.
There's your "sandbox mode".

Only thing I do not agree with is sandbox mode locked until all missions complete, I think you should be able access sandbox mode at will, personally I don't care about achievments, just fun in a sandbox.
