I saw this yesterday morning on 'Good Morning America', and I was horrified when I saw this. It's enough to make you sick to your stomach. Like it says in the article, when I watched the video they showed, you could see the dog was wagging it's tail, and was 'romping freely and gayly', if you will, and didn't pose a threat to anyone. I'm hoping the family presses charges. The police officer deserves to be reprimanded for his poor judgment. |

my view: dog was innocent
my charge: death penalty for the police officer in question means of execution: being torn apart by dogs, then finished off by a shotgun. that should do it. |

i saw that also. it was a small friendly type dog. it was not a big ferocious type dog tryling to defend its family and charged the officer. the officer overly reacted completely, and ought to be ashamed of himself. the officers over reacted to the whole situation and the family. the officers should be sent to a retirement home for the criminaly insane.

I echo Aquarius' penalty for the officer! This story just pisses me off to no end!!!!! It just goes to show another incidence of over-use of power by the police!!!! And this comes from someone who has 4 police officers in her family.
