Just Cause wont fullscreen

I just bought Just Cause and when I play the game it will only display in 1024x768 max in the display options. It results in black edges around my screen making the game screen tiny. I have a 17.3in screen on my laptop. 1600x900 res. 512mb dedicated graphics so that couldnt be the issue.

Is their any way to force it to the 1900x1200 resolution? Ive had this exact same problem with other games for example Battlefield 2, I had to add +menu 1 +fullscreen 1 +szx 1600 +szy 900 to the target in the BF2 properties, to force that resolution.

I have a similar issue. I get my correct res (1920 x 1200) but my screen will not stay at full screen, it always reverts back to windowed. Any ideas?

Running Windows 7 Pro 64bit, GTX 260M Cuda 1GB. Latest Nvidia drivers and latest Direct X 10.
