I've been around here for awhile, and I've been posting the same post over and over and over again, and stupidly I haven't made a thread for it until now. I must give thanks to Paradoks for pointing this out to me. I must also give thanks to Umah Bloodomen for making this sticky even though I was too dumb to think of it!

Now, down to business:

First of all: there is no news about Legacy of Kain at this moment.. Eidos has neither confirmed nor denied the creation of another game, so there is still hope. For a list of examples of "dead" games that came back check out this:

New: While there is still no official news on the development of another game we have gotten some media attention! Any attention is good attention, so with that in mind I've added an additional item to our list! Here's the article:

NEW: It would appear that Kain and Raziel will be making a guest appearance in Guardian of Light (http://forums.eidosgames.com/showthread.php?t=115056). This might not be an official announcement but I'll still take it!

That being said, there are things we can do to help as fans: here's a list, please give constructive suggestions on things to add if you don't see it here, this post will be linked to my signature so I'll update it as more ideas are given.

1) Money talks, if you own a PS3 or PSP buy all the games for it, you can find them on the Playstation Network:

I would like to point out that the reason I've listed these sites is because it is something that Eidos will directly feel an effect from. It's great and dandy if you buy a copy of Soul Reaver on eBay, however Eidos isn't going to know about it, so if you do decide you want either a new copy or to purchase the set for the first time try to make it from a source that Eidos can directly trace (i.e. they'll get a percentage of money from the sale).

2) Support the fan-created games because it shows interest in the series.

3) Write fan-fictions for the same reason.

4) Buy official Legacy of Kain merchandise (again, money talks).

5) Post on the Legacy of Kain boards, if people are willing to keep talking then it shows the company we still care. Even if you're not happy-go-lucky about our odds posting constructive criticism can help, if we show that we're still willing to get heated up over the issue and are still willing to put forth the effort to argue then it shows Eidos that we're still interested. Do not confuse this with comments like "Give up, the series is dead". That's not constructive, it's counter-productive. Comments like that show Eidos that we've stopped giving a damn about if there will ever be a new game, and if nobody cares then there's no profit to be made, so the game will not be produced. These types of posts/threads are a stab in the back to the series.

6) This is a big one: write the company letters (they pay more attention to an actual paper letter than emails), here's the address:

7) Send them emails (again, not as good as a real letter but it can’t hurt)

9) Tell friends, family, and anyone who will listen about the series. If we can get more people interested the potential profit is higher for the company, and profit = a new game.

13) Get Legacy of Kain based tattoos. I was hesitant to put this one but given the number of members who have them I think that it should be mentioned.

14) Go to http://www.gog.com/en/wanted/ and put in a request on their wishlist for them to purchase the right to sell the games online. The site provides games for cheap, so hopefully more people would be willing to buy. The important part here is that the site focuses on games that tend to have been overlooked in the past, or that have fallen out of public view. You will have to register to put in a request, however the process is far from difficult. Remember, if we can get cash flowing back to Eidos directly from this series it will help a ton! This project will only work if people request the proper titles however, so when you go to vote remember, this is the official list:

Using II instead of 2 or requesting "Legacy of Kain: Blood Omen" will only confuse statistics (and yes, the title is indeed Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain and not the other way around, it's a common mistake).

15) Ask for Legacy of Kain to be released on Steam.

16) Give copies of Soul Reaver 1 and Blood Omen 1 as gifts for birthdays/Christmas/etc. I list those two because the other games are all pretty steep in plot and the person will probably be lost and lose interest.

17) Loan out your own personal copies of the game to friends (again, Soul Reaver 1 and Blood Omen 1 are best) to spike their interest, just be sure it's people you trust to give it back!

18) Contribute pictures to the Community Art Gallery here on the forums (Legacy of Kain related of course), here's the link:

19) If you have a youtube account with any sort of Legacy of Kain related material, give a link to these forums. More people browsing = more interest shown = more reason to make a new game!

20) If you don't have a youtube account but see a video that's not already tagged with a link to our forums post a suggestion to check them out. This is not an open invite to spam people however, be polite and only say it once. If we're just seen as spammers then nobody will pay attention and I'm sure that the folks at Eidos wouldn't be happy either.

21) If you start posting on a non-LoK board, post with a LoK related name. They tend to be pretty unique which gets people asking about how you came up with it. Then, lead them this way!

22) People often post threads about how they've just made a new Legacy of Kain based group for members of ________. If you happen to be a member of the site/game/whatever that group is go ahead and join it. Larger groups are sure to attract attention from people who aren't aware of Legacy of Kain yet, and we can always use fresh members!

It can't hurt to sign, however due to the easy manipulation of such petitions I'd recommend combining this with at least one other method listed here.

24) As gamers we have a strong voice, however try as we might we'll never be able to reach as many new and potential Legacy of Kain converts as the media. What can we do about that? Why, get the media involved of course! Go to interview sites and put in a request for them to interview Eidos in regards to Legacy of Kain, send PM's to the admin's of other gaming sites suggesting the same, send emails to official game review sites (IGN, GameSpot, etc.) asking them about news on our beloved series, etc.

If we can raise awareness we can help our odds, and as an added bonus we might just get some unofficial corporate backing

25) Raziel and Kain appear to be playable extras in the new Tomb Raider game: Guardian of Light. Want to make your voice heard? Give a shout on this thread requesting them.

Just started playing soul reaver 1 and read some plot Walktroughts and i have to say that this is one of the best franchise video games have ever offered.

I asked Keir about it and the address I have is the official one to send to, that one used to be the place to go but not so much anymore. I've also added in the Facebook page and posted the address to send emails to.

I'd like to point out that we should all try to play nice when we send these letters. Constructive criticism is okay, but comments like "I hate you for not making a new game!" don't get us anywhere (not that I'd ever suspect this lovely group of people of doing such a thing, but I do feel it's my duty as the guy who started this thread to lead people in a positive direction).

Also, anyone who's having trouble thinking of something to send them, I have a nice generic letter already made, give me a PM and I'll send it to you, but making up something from the heart shows more dedication.

I don't actually have a Facebook account myself, I'm just going on what's been told to me, but if that link is broken by all means please, someone tell me the correct one! If on the other hand, you're referring to any sort of changes on the actual page itself, I have nothing to do with it, but I'm sure with a little bit of snooping you could find out who to contact in Facebook. I'm considering creating an account just to join the Legacy of Kain group...

I forced my girlfriend to make an account and vote for it. I don't know if that counts as vote tampering, but I for one see it as dedication.

However I would like to be clear on this one: We do not want people to just make dummy accounts to vote. This poll is absolutely worthless if people vote multiple times, and I hope that the Eidos staff is on top of that sort of thing.

That being said: Keep on telling friends!!!!

Once again I'd like to thank everyone who voted, but there are some things I need to say.

First - do not overestimate the importance of this poll - it isn't really going to change anything. But it does show, that there are still people interested in the series, and that should be our main focus.

Second - I am somewhat disappointed in some responses in the poll thread. While I personally am sick of TR at this point, I don't see a point in insulting other franchises or people who enjoy them, and unfortunately that's exactly what I see in some comments. It serves no purpose and gives us a bad name as a community.

Third - be prepared for round three . The last poll was closed after 878 votes. We are close to that, so I think this one will be closed soon as well.

Fourth - did I thank everyone for voting already?

Fifth - Crystal Dynamics is working on two games right now. One is Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light. To everyone who hopes that the second one might be LoK - don't. Spare yourself the disappointment, it's another Tomb Raider. It's not that time. Yet.

And there is another thing you can do to help LoK. It may not be big, but I think it may still be useful. The problem is that it may (or may not) brake one of the rules of this board, so I will not post it until I get permission from "above" (but you can send me a PM if you want to know what, I mean (and I have given some hints already in my previous posts )).

You bring up some excellent points there. An online poll is just an online poll, which is why I've provided a list of 12 other suggestions of ways to help out, and why I'm still actively seeking new ways. Also, I'm not exactly a fan of Tomb Raider myself, but slandering other games will not help our cause, it just makes us look like jerks. I strongly agree with your fifth point here, and add to it: Tomb Raider is being squeezed for cash right now, so expect a lot of advertising for them and little attention for us. This does not mean that we're out of the picture, it means that Tomb Raider is burning bright. But like all things in life, if will burn itself out, and we'll be there to step up to the plate.

I noticed that this is your first post, so first of all I'd like to start by saying welcome to the forums.

Next, I'd like to point out that this is a thread dedicated entirely to starting a new game, and that I have stated multiple times that while constructive criticism is helpful, please try to ensure that it is indeed constructive. I understand that a lot of people have been disappointed with one game or another in the series. Blood Omen 2 was met with a bad rap, and Soul Reaver 2 wasn't greeted much friendlier in some parts. However I'd like to point out that it's nearly impossible to live up to the quality and standards set by Soul Reaver without making a clone, and I'm fairly sure that none of us want that.

What's more, there are those of us out there that feel that Defiance was actually pretty good. But I think what's most important here is that if there is a new game made nobody is going to hold a gun to your head and tell you to play it. If you want to keep your memories as they are and not ruin the nostalgia that's great for you, but that isn't any reason to actively stop progress on the series.

Defiance was good, but ultimately it felt rushed in many ways, including story (mostly beacause we know what they wanted to include) and design/construction (SR2 was much more solid in that matter), and this is what disappoints me the most...

And let's not forget that a sequel to Defiance was already in the making and was cancelled after being 6 MONTHS in production!! That's almost half the time a game needs to be made, it was just wrong...utterly!!

So to those who say Defiance was the last game, etc etc, it wasn't! And YES, I want that game to be made, I want to see LoK with he marvellous graphics a PS3 can offer, no question about it.
