Default Support for pc version?

What kind of things are planned for the pc version? While it's understandable that there very likely won't be many graphical options to tweak in it (being a console port and all), it'd be interesting to know things like whether it will have drm or not (doesn't matter too much to me since I use steam, but it really is a monumental waste of cash when a game is cracked before it even launches) and what possible tweaks will be done to it (modding, how any possible dlc will be handled and so on)

Also what kind of controls it will have, though if it controls as smoothly as the pc version of prototype, then I'll have no worries.

Other than that, look forward to finding creative ways to use the grappling hook, that thing alone will eat up a ridiculous amount of my time.

It's a port ? Is this confirmed? I'm a PC gamer and I hope they'll put some effort in the pc version too and keep it mostly bugg free.

i think were yet to see any pc videos of the game , so it maybe just designed around the consoles , but i think you will be able to change the rez higher then 720p maybe some aa to apply , but other than that i don't think there will be many other options for the pc.

About modding i don't think you will be able to do that at all, maybe unlimited ammo and carry all guns but there more like cheats then mods , eidos like to close there games down tight i think, so modding will be very limited..

i hope im wrong about this and they will allow full modding but i don't think so.

I'm sure Avalaunche Studios have made sure that the game supports all of the latest multi-threading & multi core capabilities of the most latest up-to-date processors out there like the Intel i7 aswell as Core 2 Duo..

& let's not forget the Graphics Cards.. JC2 is going to be using 100% of all the power they provide.

Let's just say that money used to get your PC to top prime shape.. or that new expensive high-end PC you've just bought especially for the game.. is not going to waste.

Not to mention, there's always updates.

As long as its for Windows OS, there will be mods.
Mods for GTA IV on the pc only took what, 3 days after the release of the PC version?

yeah mods nowadays are insane for GTA4...

xbox and ps3 can be modded if your a smart boffin and you know how to use the HEX editors. But games nowadays refresh their gamesaves at every checkpoint, so it re-writes all of your hard earned work

personally i think modding should be a part of any game, so long as it doesnt effect other players ( such as people cheating online with aimbots/whatever ) as it means you can make the game do what you specifically want. Something that no game developer could ever do.

Doesn't the PC version support 3D gameplay?

haha thanks.

I wish game developers would just release games as a single/multiplayer and include a seperate disc where you can basically edit whatever you want, map editors... physics simulators.. change the power of weapons... change the speed of cars...

.. similar to crysis's editor where you can do what you want and use the games engine to its full potential...

Only if the SDK for it is released, otherwise unless you're actually one of the people that programmed JC2 it won't ever be modded.

720p is picture quality, not resolution. I could live without either of those, since when you're in the middle of a firefight, you're not going to be paying attention to the friggin' looks of the game, you're going to be focusing on what's going on around you, more interested in draw distance because objects popping into existence can be jarring at times.

Actually 720p is 720 lines of resolution at 60fps and is the same as 1280x720. And to tmsay it'd be a port is a bit of a misnomer due to the fact fact that the 360 & pc use pc based programming languages, so I'm sure you'll be fine as long ad you have a stout gaming rig, I can run crysis on these requirements. Anyways it's not like it's hard for a dev to set up the controls right. So don't worry unless ur comp is 2 years old, the u can worry
