Exclamation

Oyeah, another one - which you'll only appreciate if you've played it:

A moment of profound personal, geeky triumph was when I finally, after literally months of attempts, got Mr. Bones across the Icy Lake. Good Gawd! Not even Ronnie Montrose's soundtrack eased the pain of that one...

Similarly, the "Underwater Ride" level still ranks as one of the most mind-blowing Zen-mandatory levels in any game I've ever played, before or since. There is literally no way possible to complete that trip without feeling your way through. The physics programming is just phenomenal. It's the only game level I've ever played that seemed to cross the boundary from repetitive skill to raw instinct. It's like a martial arts lesson.

If you've got a Sega Saturn laying around collecting dust, I recommend going on Ebay and snagging Mr. Bones. It's one of those classics that'll never lose its entertainment value, and one I dearly wish someone would resurrect and produce a sequel for. The levels are primarily of the scrolling type, but each one mixes it up in terms of perspective and objective in incredibly innovative ways. The artwork and RonMon's music are excellent throughout, and of course the whole thing is just hilarious.

Need for speed pro street

I was playing online and competing online, i had spent a long time tuning my car to perfection (Ford GT) and so i went in, the first thing i noticed was that everyone else was using Pagani Zonda's (the fastest cars), noticably my car had less HP than then, although what they didn't do was modify their cars to perfection, i had done everything possible to make mine perfect, so i went in and lapped all but 2 of the competitors on a 3 lap ciruit, i proceeded to do all the other races (and winning) for the landmark i was racing in and the day i was playing i was 4th in the world at circuit racing in NFS:PS, and 37th globally, i held my 37th position in the world for a while, until my xbox 360 got the red rings.
I was pleased, not just at being so high ranked in my fav racing game, but also knowing my car was unique.

So...I successfully killed 5 witches in a row on No Mercy on Expert last night.

Left4Dead isn't even that hard until you crank it up...even Advanced on the demo for Left4Dead 2 is...insane when you get to the part where you have to turn off the alarm.

I'm not sure that it counts but.....beating my computer at chess.

Everything else seems boring and lame in comparison......

....Oh! And I suppose beating the centuars in TRA straight away with no glitches/dying/problems etc. No one else seemed to have such luck with them, s'far as I can tell.

Final Fantasy X: collecting EVERYTHING there is to get in the game. Everything. All monsters captured and combined and defeated, all of the parts of the best weapons, all of the aeons, all of the al bhed. Everything. 172 hours baby.

Close second: Defeating Devil May Cry 1 in Dante Must Die mode. Dante did indeed die multiple times though lol

Quite a few actually Beating all the TR games especially TR1 the first time.

Completing all the Mega drive Sonic games including the very hard Sonic 2 death egg zone that was mentioned here.

There is a little known Mega called Rocket Night Adventures which is the hardest game ever. Finnishing that was impressive.

Love the mentions of Alex Kidd. Brings back things I had forgot all about.
