I've heard from several individuals that there is a new tomb raider to come?


True, or false?

If true, where could this information be verified by chance?

I heard it isn't an addition to Underworld, but set back in lara's time,. Stranded on an island for survival as a Young lara with a bow?

Details please? Bows would rock my socks!

There is no official confirmation about TR9 being developed, however some time ago information and concept art for supposed TR9 leaked to the internet. You can read more about those in this thread:

It was to confirmed that there is in fact a Tomb Raider in the making it was announced on Tombraiderchronicles.com a couple weeks ago it will be about her survival on an island

Ian Livingstone announced several times that TR9 is in development, he just gave no details about it. Not that we should need to be told the next game is in development when Crystal Dynamics is only working on the Tomb Raider franchise.

I know what's with that. Not that i'm moaning that they're concentrating on TR but it seems like a big kick in the teeth to their LoK fans who have been waiting like forever for a sequel!

Also if you guys want to go on Youtube, type in "Tomb raider 9 leak" to see also a concept art of 3 monsters. They seem to be half human, and wicked crazy...

I -think- Eidos is going to introduce more Melee combat due to the poll they posted on TombRaider.com The highest vote is Meelee, then the second is gunplay.

So for the people that are thinking there isn't going to be any guns, make sure to research and read..There will be a variety. Along with a bow/machtiiiiii (Which I am exrtremely excited for).. And those monsters, look -wicked-.. I'm excited especially because I've been -WAITING- forever to Tomb raider to have more Gore. I always told them to make a gore addition, instead they make it M rated. Dope stuff! I'm too excited now.

I've watched a bunch of videos on youtube from the level where she was staying with Winston and the island was haunted or something and there are similarity to the concept art. In fact even the little imps are similar to the concept art with the enemy's. The horse in the picture was what made me think of it. I think we maybe going back to that.
We'll see, I hope its not too scary or my boyfriend is gunna hate me only being able to play it when he's here and needing hugs and probs for him to play it too when I can't lol I'm such a wuss

You're referring to the Ireland levels from Tomb Raider Chronicles right?
I hadn't thought of that, but then I haven't played TRC yet. That segment does look awfully similar to the leaked concept.

i think it's happening, i quite like the idea of it. It should be yearly though! It makes me eager! Coz tomb raider legend came out 2006. Tomb raider anniversary 2007. Tomb raider underworld 2008/2009. And i was really hoping that the next one would be out this year, but that would be too rushed. i think maybe 2010 would be good. That's like... 14 years of tomb raider since 1996! WOW!
